I really LOVE this band. I have been a fan for a long time..and I just put this on in the car..and then after all this time it hit me....how great this song really is. I think this ranks with their best. Think about it. It's about the whole expereince with the band: all the years and now where they are.."It doesn't matter if it matters at all"..This was mine to lose from the start". This is the voice of having been there and having learned alot. Long Live THE OUTFIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somewhere around 1997 my friend and I were hanging out in Dayton, Ohio. We had a pleasant buzz as we roamed the city. We came upon a stage set up in the government courtyard. We hung around for a bit because we both love music. Low and behold the outfield comes out in stage. Un-believable! It just so happened to be the band we both shared a great love for. I will never forget that day. This song, although not written yet, takes me back to that day every time.

Yeah, I have nothing but time on my hands now so I'm going back and rediscovering bands I liked but never really dedicated myself to. I only knew The Outfield from "Your Love," which has been one of my all-time favorite songs since it came out. I'm not sure why I never looked into them deeper. I've pretty much memorized their entire catalog now. My verdict: they were one of the greatest rock bands of all time. I would only rate Rush, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and maybe The Who ahead of them. They're definitely better than the Beatles, Rolling Stones, U2 and Queen. I was absolutely shocked by their musicianship and song composition skills. I still am. It doesn't make sense that they were not considered rock royalty. And right around the time I discover them, John and Tony pass away tragically. Now the only way I can see them perform is on KZbin. Life can be cruel, but I am thankful for at least being able to enjoy them on video. And I believe their music will stand the test of time and become more highly regarded by future music lovers. God bless The Outfield. We'll see you in another reality.

1986, I was a Junior at a private high school in New Hampshire and learned that I received a full boat hockey scholarship to a D-1 college. This song was playing on the radio when I got the news. I accredit my hockey talents to Johnny Spinks mullet, thanks guy's , God keep your souls.
