It’s been a real game changer so far!! I so badly need to upgrade the tent…. I think this spring I am going to get something much larger, finally! Both of the girls are super camera shy…. They take after their father! 😝

I still think if you could raise the entire tent a foot off the floor to "raise the roof", it would actually give you (the illusion of) more space. Only problem is the poly wouldn't reach to the floor but I don't know how much of a problem that would present, tbh. The other way to make it taller is to actually lift the top bars. I assume the frame is 1/2 or 3/4" tubes? You can use CPVC inserted into the frame and then use T-s to join the CPVC and top bars. You would still have the gap at the bottom though. I like the center hanging rack you put together. Very clever, little cricket.

I have been toying with that idea for some time, I just worry about the gap at the bottom a bit, but it would allow for great air exchange. It’s more the drafts I worry about and a clumsy orchid grower knocking it over! 😝 I’ve been looking into a big gorilla grow tent setup and I think I’m about sold…. Something just about room sized… 😝 The center rack has been a real game changer! More space for the high light lovers and a spot for some dendrochilums I’ve had doing almost nothing all season. The gracile now has 6-7 spikes coming!! Hoping for big things with the cattleyas I’ve relocated there and thinking about putting the resting Dendrobiums on it for a nice dose of high light this winter to see if that makes a difference as well!
