Great video, and insightful commentary. Suggestions on the video, you should put the video and your face on the same screen while the video is playing, getting your live reactions would be nice. I'd also add some things to your background to make it a bit more interesting. Also the skate session would've been nice in the middle of the video, since the video is so information dense, a skate sesh break would've been nice to recharge the viewers attention, since in the beginning I'm looking to watch the topic of the title.

Question, muscle glycogen being depleted due to lack of carbs, is that directly related to cravings or is it just something for people with a sweet tooth? Are carbs early in the day the best way to keep this from happening or are there other ways to do this?

Good question! So, muscle is the primary site of glucose disposal from the bloodstream. Our body really wants to store carbs there. So this would really come down to the amount of physical activity the person is doing as well as the amount of carbs they’re typically including in their diet. Muscle glycogen could be low due to a lack of carbs while fasting or on a ketogenic diet and you could feel perfectly fine with no cravings. Assuming a low frequency of intense activity. But athletes and people that exercise daily tend to be turning over much more muscle glycogen than the average person. And we don’t want to end up relying on other macronutrients for a lot of energy such as protein. When the body is needing to constantly create new glucose to fuel the muscles, this can lead to glucose dis regulation and cravings..We can store 500+ grams of carbs in the muscle, so “filling up your tank” early in the day is probably the best strategy. And equally as important, in my experience is also prioritizing protein early in the day. Protein itself is very satisfying, leading to less cravings in the later day.
