Hello you two, I am a recent avid viewer of your videos and really enjoyed this particular nostalgic look back at your vans. We’ve only been vanning since 2014 and stuck with Auto-trail after having gone from a Mohican to a Chieftain, to an Apache (which we hated) to our now new beloved V-line Sport which we absolutely love. Like you dogs play a massive part in our lives, but this now much smaller van has not actually proved to be a problem for us at all. What we have learnt about downsizing is to keep it simple, without being skimpy on the things that make it enjoyable. It’s amazing how much stuff you accumulate over the years, especially those things you thought were a good idea at the time 😂... But certainly over these past few years we’ve learnt so much. From dealers to layouts to gadgets and locations, and of course the friends you make along the way. All of it has been an experience. So with much thanks to you two and your own experiences, knowledge and testing these videos have I’m guessing helped so many.... Keep up the good work, but most of all enjoy what all us Vanners love doing the most 👍🍻

Yes, it's quite therapeutic to get rid of stuff we don't use! I normally take everything out of the van before the service, try not to put back things we don't use

Enjoyed the video. We had a westie and he was a wonderful little dog, very loyal and loving. We lost him when he was 16yr old due to kidney problems, until he was 14 yr old people thought he was a puppy he looked that young. My wife is a Yorkie fan so we have 3 Yorkie cross dogs now.

Hi Bob & Jenny, Great video. I think your current vehicle looks amazing, inside and out. But if you were in the market for buying a new motorhome what would be your choice? Look forward to hearing your views. All the best, Paul.
@BobEarnshawMoHo6 жыл бұрын
SCCFORUM Good question. If we were changing it would be the same layout, so the Bessacarr 574 would be the obvious choice. But I would want to look at similar layouts from Hymer, Adria and possibly Auto-Sleeper. Also like Roller Team and Burstner but can't find the same layout. The key thing for us is we don't want a bed you have to climb up into, also like rear bathrooms.

Great VD, I look forward to the privacy rm. one. I got one with my MH but the dealer said they were difficult to erect and not to bother with it so it languishes in my garage unloved. The problem for me is that I’m single crewed. Happy Anniversary for Monday.

Hi Bob & Jenny. Have been 'following' you on KZbin a while now. Your motorhome owner history video, has prompted me to subscribe etc. Jenny really seemed to enjoy this one ? Facing a camera is not easy, and I do not think my other half Glynis would find it possible to face the camera. Although she shares the same passion for motor-homing as myself. We have been at it so to speak since around 1995, and before that the usual lead up from caravans and tents, since around 1985. Yes we are getting close to retirement ! We have visited many of the locations you have so well presented in your videos, in particular Scotland. Look forward to keeping in touch, enjoy your trip on Monday, plus another year of marriage to drink too!

Nigel Bailey Thanks, the idea was Oliver Cox's, but Jenny did all the research for the video, so most of the credit is hers.

Loved your motorhome history. I think the answer for us is to get a longer drive as like the idea of a fixed bed. Do you find it any harder/restrictive having a longer van. Also loved seeing the pictures of your dogs , as with me they are central to our motorhoming
@BobEarnshawMoHo5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. It is sometimes a problem to park a near 8m motorhome, but it's the same width and height as a 6m motorhome, so as long as I can find parking where I can fit, that is the only real restriction.

That is interesting - i.e. your motorhome history :) Thank you for sharing it :) Ooooo - listen, I am very excited to be traveling with you on your EU tour :o That is - me in my home in Chicago, not really having to worry about anything, well - other than making sure I have my treats ready :) What i mean is - your videos help me feel that I'm with you - in the shotgun seat ( front passenger seat ) very nice :) I can only hope we have or both of yous' have a very safe, peaceful, and fun trip :) Thank you again for sharing :) Anthony

I love your videos. They’re so informative. We’ve been looking for the last two years at getting either a touring caravan or a Motorhome. We’re new to this. But we can’t decide which to go for. I favour a caravan and my husband is leaning towards a Motorhome. Have you ever had a touring caravan or considered getting one. Would love to hear your thoughts on one over the other. Many thanks, Joan.
@BobEarnshawMoHo6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question, no we've never a touring caravan, but our friends Glyn and Sharon and Bob and Aileen are both caravanners. It really depends on your personal circumstances. From our point of view it is easier to use a Motorhome on short stop tours such as in Europe or Scotland.

Great Video Bob and Jenny. I really enjoy these type of informative episodes you do along with the trips. So what is the plan with this motorhome? Drive it till the wheels fall off or do you have your eye on a newer model ?

So enjoyed that tour of past vans bob x jenny. Amazing how we all managed to tour in small vans at the start ,then with age stiff joints the like ,oh how we need our comforts! ,😄, We started with an old commer ,interior woodwork amazing,all dovetail joints!....but no frills . A,highway man x rear door ,autostradus 6berth,kon.tki 620,kon.tki 669 tag axle island bed,then sadly my husband only had a year's worth before his death out of the auto trail tag island bed commanche.....towing cars with most of them . Later when I went solo camping I enjoyed the wee romahome and auto sleeper mezan👍💗 Ahh your good for me you are making me recall these past vans ........recharge a few braincells . Looking forward to the trip ahead ....I have missed your nightly vlogs. .....best wishes x😊👌❤

Pity you missed us at Troutbeck Head, sure we saw you on the main road eating our lunch in the layby, just before the turn off to Troutbeck ? You could have looked round our Swift Bessacarr 574, to compare with your Bolero ! We have now just settled in at Moffat, nice to have a mobile phone and wifi signal again. Let us know when you visit the Bridlington site and we could arrange a meet ?
