I used to have that Tepig 2011 McDonald's toy! It was the first ever piece of Pokémon merch i've ever owned. Recently, I found an eBay listing for it and will be buying it again for both nostalgia and to start a collection of old fast food toys

Ah the Burger King official tcg cards! I could cry of nostalgia. In my country's case, that promotion was the most effective way of obtaining an official Pokémon card since finding booster packs was pretty much impossible. Leafeon was my first pokemon card ever, and while I don't think I have it anymore (probably traded it away) I still treasure it in my heart. I will always remember the fast food Pokémon promotions fondly as they were a way for us in countries outside the US to get Pokémon merch. Very nice video!

I think the ORAS McDonald's promo coinciding with the US distribution of Hoopa's in the video games deserved a mention. Distinctly remember entering a McDonalds to go on their Nintendo Zone wifi to get a Hoopa. Still have that in my Pokemon Home (the OT is named "Mac" lol)

I remember my friends & I having the power cards. Whenever played the TCG, we put the TCG card & then corresponding power cards on top of of them to simulate a real pokemon battle

Wonderful video! One correction though, is that for some of the gold and silver gameboy color toys, the movement of the d-pad would be locked unless the gameboy cartridge was inserted. This is at least how the one or two I had at home functioned.

I loved the 08 Promo, I believe I had the Pachirisu Card w/Darkrai Card Holder. They were so cool. Was sad later when I started using Card Sleeves that they didnt fit in the box, but I made it into a Tech Deck Piece Holder, or Cards that meant a lot to me. On the flip side, the 09 one was definitely disappointing. I got the Blue Keychain Card Holder thing and the Shaymin Card Holder and remember wishing the Boxes back. Good memories.

Oh my god I remember that Snivy McDonald's toy... I got that toy and a Oshawott (I think?) Pokémon card. It's one of the only memories I have with McDonald's promotions but I remember it fondly I also remember getting a Pignite toy and a Dewott card in the second promotion and being kinda bummed I didn't get a Dewott toy cause I liked dewott lol
