I live here... It is so genuinely fucked. Some hobo was living on the side of my house for a week and was even shitting there!!.. We had to call the police twice after he pounded on my front door at 5:00am yelling weird ass gibberish..that was a year ago tho. So far, 2018...nothing has changed. I grew up in Sardis which is basically a southern neighborhood of Chilliwack. Right next to Vedder river, 5 min from beautiful Cultus lake, less than 90 minutes away from a couple ski hills. It’s nestled at the very beginning of the Fraser Valley, right at the foot of the coastal mountains. I’ve lived and travelled all over the world since then, and it I still find it one of the prettiest places over all. Every town and city has its nuances but Ive always found the strengths outweighed any of the negatives.

That high school is a HUGE part of the problem. Those kids are nuts lol. I don't know what "diamond's" problem is, the few times she showed up. The raccoons are awesome. That cat hates that dog. At a certain point it's become obvious that a lot of the people know about the videos and are doing things on purpose so they can get online. The only things that really bothered me were the kids going out angry or crying in the middle of the night cause you know they've probably got domestic problems and even if they don't, being a teenager is freaking hard. Next step, maybe add an automated pepper ball turret or something. Still think you need to move.

Ophelias Reign you can actually FEEL the change in energy in that area when driving by. It starts near Hope and goes past Chilliwack. There is something in the air or soil there. The ratio of cancer per capita and other illnesses, mental illness, etc is astronomical too.

K 8 it'sju the rest of Canada anmounced to everyone (I even saw it reported in the news years ago) send your homeless to the Fraser Valley the warmest place in Canada during the winter...years later this is the result ..wasn't like this before that....it's not the air or water etc..it's only the younger generation that's like this . can't judge a whole city from its juvenile delinquents....and the influx of hard drugs that arrived didn't help. Once Chwk was just a peaceful quiet pot smoking town....

Tangerine Moon 35yrs ago you had to lock your doors in Chilliwack. It was never a peaceful city. Some areas were less violent yes but it's always been dangerous. I still have many friends and family in the area and am fully aware of what's going on. Yes, drugs and alcohol are a big factor but so is mental illness, other illnesses, cancer and more. Nowhere else has reports of spouses, neighbours, children, etc having cancer at the same time in such close proximity. I know the stats, my parents died of cancer there within 2yrs of each other along with 3 other couples and 15 friends who all lived within a couple of km of one another...within TWO years! 3 of the others were my parents neighbours. That's unheard of anywhere else. The ratio of children developing cancer there compared to anywhere else is crazy too. That's not drugs, alcohol, violence and mental illness.

K 8 Well that's your perspective. I've been here for well over 40 years and that was my perspective. I knew of no one with cancer til this last decade...Our home was right by high school and back then we didn't need to the lock doors plus we had lots of belongings in our back yard that were never stolen. No one else's yard belongings were either. Everything that happened in our little town was put in our little town paper..watched Chilliwack go from a town to a city..... We did have a few murders back then. The Rosedale murders of some kids at the Fraser river near Rosedale... and then a stabbing death of a cabbie. That was it for years and years... started going down hill around the nineties. ..it seems a certain generation didnt know how to raise kids, only do drugs or couldn't be bothered so the end result was juvenile delinquents with no respect for people or property. My children were raised with respect which is extremely rare among the youth now.. So you can say what you want about Chilliwack but this is the way it was. My family has been here since the fifties... I've got a great perspective on things.Most of my perspective is from first hand knowledge of living it..not second hand hear say....K

I've witnessed bizarre events like this before. There were low levels of radiation in the area and word of a foreign artifact beneath the surface.
