You had some mad toy/replica game. Fan made robot wars series was a thing on youtube like half a decade ago. I miss those days. On the other hand, I look at my own second hand robots and frankenstein-ish creations, sees yours, and gets even more embarrased. (Look, what I'm trying to say is: They look very cool)

I had a few toys of them, some still survive (my Razer and Chaos broke too easily) But have a few house robots and I a few battlebots RC cars. Talking of which I believe that america robot you have is Biohazard. .Good video, love your handmade Diotoir, he is my fave so I'm a bit biased :D Did you manage to see any live recordings of the new series btw?

+Tygra Biohazard! - That's it - Knew I'd remember it when I heard it :p Really hope Diotoir returns for the new series :D Sadly no, I emailed them instantly and they said just to sign up to buy tickets when they came up but they never seemed to turn up and I believe filming has already begun. Bit crap but still - back on TV so can't complain :) Plus a place near me did has a Robot Wars exhibition back in the day so as I kid I got to see Razer and Bigger Brother in real life which was awesome :D

It was okay, weird seeing a TV show shot live for the first time but the battles were amazing. Yeah filming finished last weekend so hoping it gets on TV soon, we have waited a long time to see it again :D

In the very first series it was Sgt Bash because he was way cooler looking and comparatively more effective back then but yeah mostly it was Dead Metal - such a unique attack and just so vicious looking! :D

that firestorm pullback is incredibly rare by the way it was only sold in limited quantites at the time and most have since been destroyed. one in that condition is worth a fair anmount.

I don't think they were all quite the same scale but you could take an average by measuring them and comparing it to the dimensions of the real ones. I'd say they were probably around 1:12 ish maybe - that's a bit of a guess actually, don't quote me :p

Not at all. Roadblock is basically just a massive wedge too so nice and easy. I think I just printed off the road signs bit so it looked right but yeah - just give it a go, can always make a few to get it right. Any way of seeing your Firestorm and Chaos 2? :)

I too used to improve the bots. I'd get the she'll off and attach it to a tiny bug remote control. My friend wouldn't all ow me to use a blade if we battled as he was upset if his rc got broke. I ended up half way through a build and going in without a shell and he takes 2 mechano pieces and nudged my receive off. Needless tk say if I'd completed my robot design I would jabe smashed him. I don't see him anymore but when we used to meet as kids I always had the better and cooler designs. A childhood full of imagination and great parents letting me play with my toys and not making sure I kept them pristine. Seems you had a fun childhood too

Robert Reader That's brilliant :) my dad definitely approved of improving the accuracy as he did a lot of modelmaking for his model railway. Do you still have any and if so - do a a video! :D

OrangeDoseOverJuice yeah I've still got them. I got the arena too for the minibots the small metal pullback toys. And the slalom. I'm not very good at uploading videos it seems to take 45mins for a 30second video otherwise I'd show you them. I'm part way through building 2 acrylic bots with savage blades on them. Really wish I had used my time better when I was younger and finished that robot I battled with. Effectively i went in with a Tyco rebound with no shell but like I said my friend wouldn't allow me to use sharp weapons. But when he got the lucky hit and broke my rd you should have seen how happy he was. We both knew if I'd build my rc in time I'd have sabotaged him !!

I'm really sorry but going to have to be a no for that one - I'd need to get hold of the flipper part from a massive old Micromachines aircraft carrier which would probably prove hard to track down and costly plus to be honest - I don't really remember how I made it! :p It was so long ago and I think I just made it up as I went along. Have a go though and if all else fails - there's always the pullback :)

aww man i really i i still had the, i didnt take them seriously though lol sometimes id tear them apart in a match and scrap them lol, i tried making a few actual robots aswell with little motors and switched and wires, they werent very good i made one that could only go forward and had a cardboard spinning disc and a flame thrower that was actually just a lught bulb lol, i had a few motors and wheels and stuff so id take the circuits out and put them in other robots when i got bored, i was really into stuff like that as a child

good lord ive never seen anyone else who had firestorm as their fav. i alwas loved its fighting style it was fast paced frenetic and more to the point close. it always fought to the level of its opponent so every fight was so back and forth. young me as always sad when they lost
