In addition to an HK P30 SK and two 18 round spare mags molly'd to an IFAK and TQ, I keep a sling style non-tactical looking Osprey urban go bag with another med kit, two more mags, two TQ's, space sleeping bag, lightweight jacket, t-shirt, sunglasses, hat (in case I need to change my appearance), battery, several knives, small bottle of water, energy gel packets, 200$ cash, credit card, duct tape, small signal mirror, small towel, pen paper, laminated list of essential phone numbers, gloves, visine, about 100ft of paracord woven into a lanyard with various attachments, super glue and a few other things that I might need. I also carry a spare gi, belt and rash guard in my car in case I might want to roll at a random dojo somewhere unexpectedly, but it's really for friends who show up for training and forgot their gi's!!!!! hahahahahaha!

I wear eyeglasses, so I ensure that I have an extra pair in the vehicle in case something happens to my primary, along with attachable sunglasses for long rides in the sun. I have things to facilitate continued driving in the face of difficulty. E.g., Lens wipes in case my glasses get dirty. Ibuprofen in case I have a headache. Food if I get hungry. Water if thirsty. And, coffee if I need to stay alert. I have a notebook and two pens in case I need to take notes about anything. I also carry a flashlight. But to be honest, I need to up my game with the emergency stuff. Tourniquets, etc. Great video, thanks for the helpful information!

Take a look at the Victorinox Rescue tool which has a window breaker, seatbelt cutter, windshield cutter, general purpose blade, flathead and Philips screwdrivers, bottle opener, toothpick and tweezers.. Basically for extrication from vehicles in an emergency. There's also the Zak Took window punch; also for emergencies for use on tempered glass. I would also add to compliment the tourniquets; chest seals and Israeli bandages.. a few abdominal pads..

Get rid of the fix a flat and learn to plug a tire, super easy and reusable(fix multiple punctures). ATF fluid is good to have to get you out of a pinch with a way to patch holes in fluid catch pans or power steering/brake leaks. The Jumper pack is very useful. On your tools I use my vehicle tool kit for all repairs with my Jeep, when you do this you'll be surprised how much stuff you carry that you don't use (aka the 9mm socket/wrench). Good video.

Have you purified water with it and drank it? Food rations. Have you prepared and eaten it? Get where I’m going? Do these influencers have the skills to use what they have. I served 28 years and never had to purify water or hunt for food etc. Does anyone know of any channels where they’re actually showing prac app?

This is true. I go camping (I refuse to call it Overlanding) with a rig set up and a few guys that I know and there’s a few guys in my group that go with me that wouldn’t have the slightest clue how to use 90% of all the crap they have. They also have 10 times as much sh*t as I do. When you know how to use thingsless is more. If you have something in your possession and someone where to ask you “just what exactly are you going to do with that and what scenario would you use it in?” and you can’t answer the question then you don’t need it.
