who watches the watchers? in a way, the social credit rating system is already here. and it's everywhere. bank credit ratings, phone apps detecting fraud callers and promoters, amazon/markets rating your products, service related apps rating your services, businesses being rated online.... and of course govt. officials aren't spared either... it's not for any odd reason, that YT removed the dislike button right before the last presidential elections. what china's done is accelerate our passage towards the dystopia many have envisaged and dreaded.

@杨健 What? If someone borrows, then don't they owe? What's up with that grandfather and grandson analogy? Are you throwing out ancient Chinese secrets? Or (more likely) do you work for the Chinese government as a media watchdog? We know that people who are more loyal to the government get higher scores and people who speak against it get low scores. And since low scores are synonymous with being a criminal, it pretty much a reason to throw dissenters in prision. What say you confucius?

Reginald Bowls exactly, you can make guns illegal and your government may not infringe your other rights, but if other countries do the same, then the government can do what it wants without a revolution or help from another nation. This is fear mongering. There are laws on what increase or decrease one's score. If criticising the system resulted in reduced score, then Western media wouldn't miss the chance to report that. And it makes sense that having a higher score indicates a good credit history and thus no deposit for using a shared bike. 4:54 Do you know what kind of people get to on the black list? Those who borrow from bank but never return the money, those who did't play their employees salary and those who physically attacked staffs on the train/plane. Check out this mind blowing respond from an intellect about the social credits system. 神州 Shenzhou: And about the Social Credit System, foreigners often complain Chinese people are rude, spit in public, smoke in non-smoking areas, jump queues, occupy multiple seats, disobey traffic laws, jaywalk, speed past red lights, etc when's not all Chinese people are like that. We Chinese feel ashamed that such bad people represent China overseas, so the government come up with Social Credit System to penalise such bad behaviour and promote better behaviour instead. This is an meritocratic way to reward good behaviour and punish bad behaviour. But if they persist with bad behaviour until their scores fall to become unacceptable, then they will be barred from buying plane tickets to fly out of China and make nuisance of themselves overseas. At least until their scores improve until it becomes acceptable for them to travel again. If this system is ever extended to Hong Kong some day, then we might seem a marked improvement in social behaviour among the people of Hong Kong.. . .

@@avgvstvs7 Nah. I'm just a gamer. You can check out my ad free videos via my profile. Anyway, please read this and get some idea on what's happening in Western media in your country. Why do people still think Chinese government is tyrannical while many Chinese people are very satisfied with the government themselves (and know what it’s like in the west)? Most people in UK, US, Australia, and Canada hold the view that the Chinese people have been brainwashed by the CPC and Chinese State media and agencies. It is ironic that the same people in UK, US, Australia, and Canada have no awareness that they themselves have been brainwashed and conditioned by their own mass media exemplified by Fox, CNN, NY Times, Washington Post, NY Post, and so on concerning matters relating to Chinese people. They know little why the Chinese people are largely satisfied with their everyday lives. Some 800 million Chinese have been lifted out of abject poverty in 40 years, and the 200 million middle-class Chinese are growing in size and wealth. Well, you have seen a horde of Chinese tourists invading your big cities, haven’t you? Are they all fake Chinese tourists, maybe S.Koreans, Japanese and Vietnamese masquerading as Chinese? Is the money they are spending to help propel your country’s economy also fake? Yeah, right. The Chinese people are happy to have Freedom from gun violence, Freedom from drug trafficking, Freedom to walk the streets of Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen without fear of molestation at 2am, and Freedom from politicians like Trump mouthing off fake news with impunity. It is here. The US has had credit scores longer than China. Anything you dont pay back on time because you can't drops your score, you can also drop it by breaking the law bc you can't pay bills from prison. If you have a bad credit score you can't get a car, a house, an education. How are we not at least partially there yet?
@followerofthekoronecult
@followerofthekoronecult 4 жыл бұрын
@@SaraH-jn5db you are kinda d*mb to compare credit score to social credit. Credit score is black and white, while social credit is in the grey area. Social credit requires you to pay back your debt (aka financial obligations). Meanwhile the social credit score rate you on whatever you do, including your private life, what you post online, what you spent time on, where/how you spent your money, etc. Moreover, the CCP can publicly shame you with your ID and address on the big screens. Also, China have an unelected government body (CCP), do you think the CCP will be fair on assigning scores to those they dislike?
@colbythom223
@colbythom223 4 жыл бұрын
@@followerofthekoronecult not that dumb or stretch to compare them. The current credit score could be turned into the social score. (that might be how they spin it to low credit people). companies like freecreditreport.com already give you a credit "boost" for linking your bank account so they can track your spending and see your financial data. like who you pay first and what you prioritize. the current US credit score is from 3 main "credit bureaus" which are already private companies, thats just acouple corporate mergers away from being fully linked to your social media.

I won't ask yall to check how many countries that had invaded China or how they plunder China after poisoning them with opiums. I won't ask yall to check how many people try to sow discord to open the door to other civil war, but China is doing fine. They learned their lesson from their past and western countries past as well. This is why you rarely see China have mass shootings, bombs going off at a race game, air plans flew into buildings, air plans get hijacked, partian gridlock, recessions, the great depression, all sort of crisis, racial profiling, racism, business filing for bankruptcy left and right, 22 trillion in debts, more mass shootings in churches, schools, concert, movie theater, supermarket and those got affected will forever have their lives changed. Those never hear the sound of weapons of war will continue to live in borrowed time.
