Детройту пока не повезло взять с драфта франчайз-проспекта, способного в будущем на долгие годы качественно закрыть позицию центра первого звена, чтобы он стал новым Айзерманом или Зеттербергом/Дацюком. Без игроков такого уровня чемпионскую команду не построить. Защитники есть (Зайдер, Эдвинсон, Сандин-Пеллика), крайние нападающие есть (Реймонд, Дебринкет, новый проспект Нюгард), центры в глубину есть (Дэниэлсон, Каспер), киперы есть (Огастин, Косса). Но нужен франчайз-центр. Вегас смог Айкела выменять у Баффало, но такое редко происходит, франчайзов никто просто так не отдает, их почти всегда находят на драфте. Детройту пока не повезло.
