Well done Mike Julie and crew, excellent ride, Don't listen to Mike Julie if you want to go the road route insist that he follows your orders., at least you would have had dry feet. It's not just your area that's flooded we have the same mud and floods

Wow your video had me taking a sharp intake of breath!!! ,it looked like on many occasions on your watery 💦💦💦🚴🏻♀️🚴♂️ route you were both going swimming in deep water . You are both very courageous gutsy cyclists as are your friends in your group today . I used to cycle on all sorts of terrain and weather but nowhere near as mucky and wet as your route , it was great to watch your video in a nice dry warm lounge at home , I could never cycle your route you cycled today 💪👏👍🚴🏻♀️🚴♂️ well done all 👍😀

Cheers Peter... I took a sharp intake of breath too, as i put my foot down under the bridge.... It was freezing, 😅🤣😅. We did find a fair bit of sogginess!..... I enjoyed it despite the early bath!

Oh my days that was a very wet ride indeed. That under bridge knee deep water I thought that was quite risky to go through there. And yes Paul Green is back again well done to him.

Yes, I had forgotten about the deep mud under the bridge which made it really hard to pedal through the water... 🤣 Cheers for watching

Hi. Loving your videos. I ride anywhere between 20 and 50 miles around my home in North Devon but the day after I suffer with the munchies! I always eat porridge before I ride and if I am going over 30 miles put a bar of something in to snack on and have a good meal afterwards but the next day I could eat a horse! Any tips or how do you guys combat the munchies? Thanks
@WheelersAtLarge6 ай бұрын
Hey Charles thanks for commenting. I find eating very difficult to control once I start, Julie too but to a lesser degree. I don't know what the answer is but I find that when possible a much easier fasted 'recovery' ride the next day takes my mind off food. You have more hills to contend with around your way so I don't know if that's even possible. Good luck and if you find an answer please let us know.

What tyres are you using for this sort of ride?
@darrenelbrow51446 ай бұрын
Most of us had winter knobbly gravel tyres. Better than road tyres when our roads are covered in water and farm debris, plus they cope better with potholes
@WheelersAtLarge6 ай бұрын
Julie was on 38mm GravelKing EXT and I had 45mm Pirelli Cintaurato M. As Darren said good grip when the roads are mucky like that.
