Hi, Olivia! I know you must have a lot of stuff happening right now, both in your work and personal life... I've been thinking of giving you a few book recommendations, but I kept telling myself you're too busy to read them, would never see this comment etc. Welp, I finally made myself do it :). 1. "The Whale Rider" by Witi Ihimaera, a story about a Maorian community living in the modern world. I love the way the folklore is intertwined with that feeling of realness... and everyday life full of mystery and wisdom hiding just beneath the surface. Did that sound weird? It just has a feeling to it that I can't put into words. 2. "Neverwhere" by Neil Gaiman. It was chilling and spooky and thought-provoking, I just love this author. 3. "The Net" by Sara Allegrini. The characters are very well written and I love that you get to see their situations from their point of view. It's so deep and simple at the same time! All of these are fiction, and I know you said you're not really into fiction, but I hope some spike your interest. You're great.

I loved the pole dancing part so much. I actually found my way into listening to sex workers by watching a video of you interviewing someone, I think. It was a while back. I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels this way. I feel very connected to Olivia. I catch myself daydreaming about us being besties, but I know that that’s the nature of a parasocial relationship. I know the self she has shown online, but I do not actually know her, and where if we were to meet in real life I would want to get to know her, it’s also important to exercise boundaries. KZbinrs often can’t be friends with viewers because of the parasocial effect. So ig what I want to say is thank you Olivia for sharing yourself with the world. I’m continually very inspired by you, and I wish you all the luck in your next endeavors.
