A love note for Mother's Day

There are so many meaningful and honest ways to celebrate - or maybe not celebrate - Mother’s Day. And I honor them all.
For any of us who mother anybody in ANY way, I see you. I know how hard you work, how much you care. It’s a wonder. Proud of you, mamas.
For those of us who carry grief around Mother’s Day, I see you. Maybe you didn’t have a mom who could love you well, or you’ve lost your mom, or you wanted to be a mom. Or the reality of motherhood has been extra painful.
From joy, gratitude, and gladness, to sadness, loss, confusion, disappointment, it’s all allowed. There are no wrong answers here.
However today finds you, I’m sending you love.
