A Lovely Day Out in South of France | LIFE at CHÂTEAU D'ALZAU

We spent the day out with our friend Carmem Zilda, from Chateau d'Alzau. Carmem was headed back to Brazil, so it was lovely to see some of France with her. It is amazing to us how many, many stunningly beautiful places there in France - whether natural or architectural - with each place being more breathtaking than the next... A small village brocante. A beautiful, blue lake in the hills. Golden, rolling fields. A stunning Medieval church and spectacular gothic mural painting.

Oh, those antiques...love them! My taste is the same as your Selmar...love that sideboard! What a beautiful Church! I just love the tours you take us on Selmar...what beautiful country!!! On one of the other chateau shows they say to throw the painted hardware latches into the AGA fire - take it out and then put in paint stripper for a much easier process...

Oh, this Brocante is beauuuutiful Selmar! These armoires, and even more the 'credence' with the metalwork 'en noyer' (you call your style) it is indeed exquisite!! And what a beautiful church with sooo many altars! ...and what a Lock! I am sure some painters in the past, must have captured it on canvas..? Very touching music choice Selmar! If you place metal things in a crock pot on low for a few hours that are covered in years of paint it will release the paint from all its crevices and make it fast removal.Also you don’t need to use chemicals.I use this method all the time.It’s good for hinges,knobs,small grated,screens,etc

Make sure it’s an old crockpot; it might be lead paint; never cook in it again or breathe in the steam.

Selmar and Tatiana I’ve so enjoyed this vlog. Loved the antique shop and that sideboard was so beautiful. I would have purchased it if I had the opportunity but being in the US that is but a dream. The church is simply amazing and beautiful. I think it is the best one yet, Selmar. To see it in person is a true gift and honor. The arches in the alcoves bring to mind the little church at Château de LaLande. Thank you for sharing this Holy place with us. What a lovely canal. To see the locks work was great. What a pretty area to enjoy a walk and maybe a picnic too. Tatiana looks beautiful in her gown with the way her hair is done. Your accompanying music was perfect. Love the store and so many lovely items they sell. the prices must be high though too? But so very nice. Saw so many things I would have loved to purchase, if able. The church was 'Exquisite! ' Absolutely loved it and Selmar you are doing so well narrating everything you read! Tatyana looks so elegant in all her lovely clothes. The blouse was very lovely. So glad Carmen Zilda was able to join you and she seemed to have such a good time as well! She seems such fun!
