A lovely way to cycle from Walthamstow to Edmonton Green

You can cycle from Walthamstow High Street to Edmonton Green, north of Tottenham, in about half an hour.
All of the route is either on quiet streets or protected cycle paths separated from traffic. Much of it is very nice!

Thanks for doing these, some really interesting routes. I used one of your routes today to avoid Tooley St, on the way to Blackfriars. In case you're interested, the cycle lane on Tottenham Court Rd to cross from Torrington Place to Howland St has finally opened. Might be interesting to show the change in cycling policy as you cross from Camden to Westminster (Howland St to New Cavendish St) too, goes from a separated path to a painted lane at best

@@milliedobson6177 yeah absolutely, I was actually quite surprised how bad they'd been, it's normally the Tory councils - they now claim to have a lot of plans (they've mapped out low traffic neighbourhoods across the whole borough for instance) but they've not actually put any of them in place afaik... there is some stuff happening around Finsbury Park (on the Islington/hackney side) though so I'm going to do some routes around there at least

I think some of them are actually - I'm not sure about that specific lane so you could be right. Some of the older stuff does date from the GLC though kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJ61Zqdoh6p_pNU

That’s a good idea! I’ve been meaning to do some from up there, there’s a new link around Finsbury Park which has just been done which will make it easier and I think Haringey council are planning some LTNs. Will put on list

yep! there should be a link to the "Komoot" page in the description of the video - you can either use that app or I think you can export GPS files as well. Let me know if it works

I've done this path as I live close to Edmonton green, but I've never tried those paths I always went through the riverside which is always crowded. Do you have a route in Google maps to save it?

I've actually got a video coming up that should be of interest - Walthamstow to the City, and then another one from the City out to Whitechapel (on the way to Stratford). But will have a look, might be good to do one direct to Whitechapel if there's a more direct route and it helps you get to work!
