Edmonton Green was the largest municipally owned shopping centre in London but by the end of the 20th century found itself losing out to competition at Wood Green, Walthamstow and further afield, while Enfield Town and Southgate became more appealing to commercial investors within the borough. The close proximity of high-rise flats to multi-storey car parks proved an encouragement to crime.

In 15 years time this video will be gold as the area is being prepared for gentrification. To the north Ponders End is being gentrified, to the south we've got gentrification from the new Spurs stadium, across the new town being constructed called Meridian Water and going to Tottenham Hale. Edmonton Green is being knocked down and the area is set to become more expensive than Enfield Town as City commuters move in.

My grandma lives here for personal reasons i have not seen her in 7 years but its nice to look back to the place i used to stay 25% of the time and see the house i used to visit. Would love to go back one day and visit all the fun places i would go as a kid ❤

Sort of, yes but the large body of water visible on camera is the William Girling Reservoir in between Edmonton and Chingford
