There is an insane milkshake place in Alpine Wyoming. It’s either Yakkies cafe or Elk cafe. Don’t remember which one. But if you are coming from Idaho Falls, Idaho take USA HIGHWAY 26 across the border into Wyoming. There will be a stoplight junction going straight will take you to Jackson and Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the Grand Teton National park. Make sure you turn. You will cross a bridge and it’s nearby. The milkshake are so thick that they won’t fall out if they are turned upside down. The food is okay but the shine is the milkshake

Saturday morning cartoon watching here over breakfast dishes…so many thoughts on this great episode! First off, as an expert birder I can tell you the mysterious bird you heard in the morning at the lake was 1000% Kevin. No, not your friend Kevin you mention later in this video ironically, which made me smile even more, but Kevin the magical bird from the movie Up. 😊 So jealous you got to hear him in person! Maybe I will hear him when I’m out there 🤞 Secondly, thank you for sharing your reflections on past memories and relationships and showing how it’s done. My tagline motto I’ve been saying for years, “Life’s a Journey, so Ride On” I don’t think anyone really knows, but that line I came up with to help me move forward from past relationships. ❤ Gotta move forward. It became my signature line in emails, something id often say when life required it, and now is my tagline in videos and approach to life and adventures on and off trail. Ride on Ryan, ride on.

This may help with future adventures with Mira. There's a trick to getting a dog to release a stick or ball (or bird). You reach down and (lightly) grab them at the flap of skin that connects their belly to the front of their rear leg. If the dog was wearing pants, it would be around their front pocket, a little towards the zipper. Just a little tug, and they will let go of what ever is in their mouth to investigate what you are doing down there. This has worked with every retriever I have had. I assume it will work with non-retrievers as well. This is a trick for play time, not for a dog that is being aggressive or defensive.

A big part of it is protecting habitat. Everyone should have the opportunity to experience this yearly fall crane migration. Ok, well that explains John's super-human abilities navigating that truck up the steep stuff through the ruts in an earlier edition of this series. Dude is definitely a stud on the bike. Ryan, if there are many men out there who will struggle to find a partner, you are NOT one of them! Sheesh, I can't imagine how many propositions you already get on your channel! You're a handsome, fit, upbeat adventurer and I cannot imagine there wouldn't be a line forming for dates with you! (And you aren't a raging drunk party animal anymore!) That said, it definitely requires finding the right fit and everything else that makes a relationship work. But if your on-screen attitude represents your personality, then have yee no fear, brother! Although this ride isn't on much pavement, I'd still have brought a rear-view helmet mirror. What, 20 whole grams for peace of mind? I used one as a teenager, then took a hiatus, but resumed using one about 20 years ago. Won't ride without one, regardless of where I'm riding - road or trails. Frenchmen alone in the wilderness for months and they see, "Les Grand Tetons!" Of course they did!!! Welcome Kevin! Two observations: 1) You rock back and forth on the saddle a fair amount, as seen while you address the camera head-on while on the road. Your saddle a tad high? Rocking on the saddle usually indicates this. 2) You're hand position on the grips is often "pulled back" so that only your fingers and knuckle portion of your hands are down. This indicates you're reaching too far for the bars, or other fit issue. I realize I only see it when you're filming, so perhaps it's just you changing position for the video shot. Now I know you've ridden a BILLION miles and are more experienced than most, but the hand thing I've noticed for over a year now. And if you've had some saddle abrasion issues, the rocking can be the culprit. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Thanks for another great segment in the Great Divide Adventure!

Yeah, John is incredibly strong on the bike! Appreciate the feedback about my fit on the bike. Things seem to be fine on my end, no saddle sores either. Hope you have a great week!

I'm always waiting for this. Haha. Better than any other TV shows in my opinion.

Love watching your series seeing parts of America that you only see from the saddle ...who knew America was that quiet ...you get any mechanical problems ?
@duzer4 жыл бұрын
no mechanical problems at all, not even a flat tire

It would be nice to know what kind of rig John is riding and his camping equipment.

He rides a Salsa Blackborrow, I didn’t film his gear though

Makes a great start on every Sunday 😁, can you also list the name of the rad music, or perhaps a rad_duzer playlist on Spotify for us to follow?

Enjoying your vids and really loving the music you are using, can you provide a play list? I am googling without any luck... "yes I know, I know, I know what you mean to me..."
@duzer4 жыл бұрын
Hello! I get all my music from a site called MusicBed, it's music specifically for films and youtube videos, so it's not really anything that you'll find on Spotify, sorry!

@@duzer so no telling who performed that song? Oh, well. Thanks.

Interested in the gasoline stove. There are several. Which does John use?

Ryan all of what you do is so inspiring. I'm training for the Great Divide next year. I'm 61 and have a gravel bike with 700 x 33, cable disc brakes, and outfitted as a touring bike. Do you think front suspension and larger tires are desirable/needed for the route?
@duzer4 жыл бұрын
Front suspension is not necessary, but I’d put as wide of tires as possible on your bike.

"That bird" sounds like a sandhil crane. Probably on its way to spend the winter with me in Florida.

Love when i see a new part posted ... itching to hear your thoughts on the Priority 600X ... disappointed the dyno on the front wheel is deleted as even a trickle charge of battery pack is handy as to not be tied to needing to remain in a town with a outlet to recharge ones battery pack
@duzer4 жыл бұрын
That’s just it, the trickle of a charge isn’t worth the hefty price tag. Battery packs these days hold big charges, mine will charge a phone 6 times.
