I'm not sure what Aslan's story was before we crossed paths? ... He's obviously been loved in the past, but since he was in bad shape with matted fur, gross dirty ears and was very hungry.... I think his owner had maybe passed away at the trailer park and he either got loose or family relatives just put him outside since they didn't want to deal with him? (this happens alot here in Florida) ... whatever the story, he's safe, loved and well fed meow! --- Thanks fur watching everyone :)

I had that same scenario with my girl...Owners left her and her brother behind; alone and abandoned...someone took in the male...My girl came to me after going door to door...She had even been fixed!..that was in 2007...we are still together!

You could tell he was socialized and friendly by the way continually gave the cat blink signal. He even blinked and turned away to avoid over eye contact. Poor thing was desperate to have friendly human interaction. Bless you Chris for saving that beautiful beast of a cat.

At the start of the video, I thought Aslan looked more like a werewolf cat than Maine Coon. I know Chris has a comforting and calming effect on cats, but I was pleasantly surprised at how docile, trusting, and friendly Aslan was. He was so ready to be rescued.

One of my subs is Pets are Angels. He is in Morocco, and almost daily finds a lost soul. Puppies and kittens both, he takes home, vets them, and adopts them out to farm families where they become working dogs and cats. Herders , guard dogs and mousers. They aren't spoiled housepets, but they are safe and taken care of.✌😸

He’s a Rag Doll. Poor baby. Looks like a lot like my Blue Point Rag doll except her head is lighter on top and her eyes are sky blue. They are sweet, docile cats. Beautiful too. They’re called Rag Dolls because they kind of go limp when you pick them up. Mine was a rescue. Had no idea what she was. The dark areas form where there is less blood flow. It takes them about 3 years to finally stop changing. I had no idea she would be so beautiful when she got older. My other kitten just kept growing and growing and growing. She’s mostly Maine Coon. I had no idea. Never heard of them. She was a rescue too. She’s my avi pic. Lol. She weighs about 17 pounds now and bosses everyone around. I’m afraid to rescue another “surprise” kitten/cat.

@@richardcline1337 not necessarily. they could have gotten separated for a number of reasons that aren't malicious: getting lost during a recent move; bolting out the door during a chaotic family gathering; etc. a socialized cat looking like this isn't a condemnation of bad ownership. otherwise healthy indoor-only pets can quickly get in bad shape like this when they become lost. being in unfamiliar territory, competition from ferals, not having access to food/water, exposed to new diseases, stress-induced lack of grooming. all i takes is a few weeks for a healthy, pampered cat to start looking like aslan did.

One of my best cats (but then they all are) is a former outdoor cat that belonged to a neighbor. She would come over every time she saw me outside and just wanted to rough house and play. She was just so sweet and loveable. One day while playing with her I checked her mouth and her gums were nearly as white as cotton! I called my vet and she immediately took her in. She was so covered in fleas, ear mites and ticks that her blood was being drained from her. During treatment they took almost a dozen full ticks off of her. When I got her home I found another dozen or so on her that were dying from the pest treatments. I put her in my breezeway room and just let her relax, nap and play. After two weeks I still hadn't seen her owner so I just made up my mind that I was going to fight to keep her now that she was on her way to becoming healthy again. A few days later I saw her owner and asked if she had seen the cat and she replied that she hadn't but most likely she'd run off or had been killed. I told her that I had the act and what I had done to save her life to which she just said, well, of you want her, keep her! Rita is a very happy, well adjusted, very loving lap baby today. At the vet I also learned that she wasn't a grey Tabby but a Smoke cat. If you rub her grey fur backwards she is solid white! She gets along with the other seven rescued cats living indoors with me and is very playful with them. I could never ask for a sweeter, more loving cat. It is so sad that her previous owner didn't even care enough to even look for her or to pay attention to her health. People like this should NEVER be allowed near a cat much less own one (well, actually, we don't own cats, they own us!).

My sweet baby girl went missing almost a month ago and my heart has been shattered. I went through the whole neighborhood, knocked on doors, checked with the businesses that are around here and put up information. She just vanished and I have not went one day without crying or looking for her. I pray someone like you maybe found her. I kick myself every day because I didn’t have her microchipped and no collar because she never went outside. I’m so lost. Thank you for helping this beautiful baby .
