👋 hi! I am in need of some advice and answers that I can't find on the Internet Do you have any experience with maine coon mix health problems and lifespan?

I am used to normal tabby house cats. Used to have 3. I'm thinking about adopting a maine coon mix kitten. But I'm worried about its possibilities of heart disease and hip problems😢 I love all cats and want every one of them to have a loving home, but I'm not sure that I have the mental compatibility to lose a cat to illness😢 Pls 🙏 answer. It will mean alot to me

​@@cube8282 There is a heart disease that is a bit more common in Maine Coons, HCM. You can check so that the parents are tested for this. There are both DNA tests and a vet exam that can be done. I do this on my cats. If you get a mix breed, it will probably decrease the risk of some diseases linked to Maine Coons specifically (even if there are not so many). But you can always ask about the health history of the parents and other relatives. Good luck 🙂

14 years ago I found an ugly abandoned kitten, possibly 5 weeks old at most. He grew into a beautiful Maine Coon. The vet who taught me how to feed him when I found him, couldn't believe him at his first check up. He is so smart. My first clue was when he took his blanket and put it over the heating vent in the winter. Even though I rescued him, he chose my husband for his human, I am merely a necessary nuisance who is occasionally gifted with being allowed to pet him. He is absolutely beautiful and very sweet. If I was younger, I'd get another Maine Coon. Great companions for the "chosen one".

I am so glad you decided to do this video. I know you debated about it because it would be alot of work & time consuming, but it turned out fantastic. We loved our all-white Maine Coon (mixed bread) and miss him so. He lived 24 yrs which was a good life.

Yes, A deceased friend’s Mom had to move to a care home and so we took her gray 26 lb tabby (who’s since been on a diet!) Named this cat “Luna”, our previous white cat was named “Hedwig” (my wife is a huge HP fan)

As a former dog person, if there's one thing I've learned from your videos, it's that cats need to be with other cats. Watching this family grow up with other adult cats around to play with, to check manners, to snuggle with, and of course to give innumerable baths has been a joy. I know we all said there was no need to do a 1 - 100 days, but we're all glad you did. Thank you.

Brock , Misty and Ash are all magnificent Maine Coon kittens, and grow into beautiful Maine Coon cats! Amazing that Papa Dexter is such a sour puss with his own offspring, and actually acts quite hostile towards them. Hilarious that Uncle Buster teaches them the joys of sitting in their own boxes, Buster really is quite a comedian..Freya and Ada seem to interact quite well with the three kittens. This was definitely a fun video seeing them all grow from newborns to 3 and 1/2 month old young cats. I am sure they got adopted Into wonderful , loving forever homes. No doubt all three will grow into spectacular adult cats in their own right, Thanks for sharing this compilation with all of us. Always a treat for the audience to see the adventures of these wonderful Maine Coon felines!

Wow, thanks so much for that!💖✨️👏 It was so sweet and amazing to relive the trio's journey from such tiny, little newborns to their present day selves, in one 7 minute video!🐈🥰 It's so hard to believe they were only about the size of Luna's back paw🐾 when they were first born...And look at them now, just 14 weeks later!😸😻 They grew up so fast, right before our eyes!👀🙀 So adorable, with so many funny moments along the way!😆🤣 I really do miss those 3 "not so little anymore" rascals!😿😢 But, it does help knowing that our "fierce" Ash is safe and happy with his nephews Leo & Isaac.🥲🙂 I'm hoping our other sweeties Misty & Brock are just as happy with their new families!🤗😘 Do you think they'll also send some update videos, so we can see how they're both doing in their new homes🏡 too? Nekünk is volt egy vörös nőstény Maine Coon cicánk. Egyszer csak megjelent a kertünkben. Mint később kiderült, meg is lőtték sörétes puskával valamikor, valakik... Valahonnan kitették a környékünkre, és Ő minket választott. Sajnos 5 év után meghalt. Van 3 lánya, ők velünk élnek, de ők "csak" házi macska keverékek. A kedvességüket, méretüket, nyugodtságukat, a mamájuktól örökölték. :)
