Hey Max. Growing up in southern California, these Santa Ana winds were not uncommon. But this year the winds are ridiculous. 90+ mph gusts near Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia. 84+ mph gusts at the Burbank Airport. I have family and friends there still, and luckily they are okay. People at the Ca/Az border in Blythe, 4 hours away and 200+ miles have smoke there. Please pray for these people and others that are affected by events like these. 🙏

This is day 2 and 3 nights for 1000s without water in/ around Richmond, Virginia. The winter storm cut power for several hours and when the water was to be turned back on the systems failed. NE Texas here. Did everything I needed to do for this week today. Yes, I know all about ice. Would not go out in that stuff for anything. Plan on staying home for the next few days. Snow would not bother me, but I don't take chances with ice. I could have trees falling down on the house, electricity lines, and that's when things go crazy.

I heard social media innNashville is suggesting covering cars with sheets to then pull up to remove the snow and ice. This does not work!!! If possible just stay inside. Drivers do not know how to drive in snow and ice. Get some food in, stay warm and stay put!

We're in Indiana and got the snow, thankfully not the ice (Evansville got that, a lot of people lost power for a couple of days). We don't have a garage, so hubs put two tarps over our car on Saturday with bungee cords for the corners, and he just broomed off the car today. That works so much better.

@@toledojeeper2932 If you use sheets and it rains and then freezes, it will freeze the material right to the windows, unless you use some sort of material that will not stick. That is the only reason I can think it would make it not work.
