@suethompson9481 My kitty had 5 kittens 2 weeks after she turned one. That was not my plan or intentions either. She snuck out 4 days before her spay appointment. She remained gone over 3 nights and 4 days, so I thought coyotes or something got her. My soul was so blessed when she showed up that 4th day. I knew than she was bred, and in no way was I going to abort any babies, so waited when the kitties were 2 months old and got her spayed. She still nurses one or 2 which is so strange. The kitties are now 3 months old, and will try to find homes for them. If no one wants such good hunters, then all 5 will be spayed or neutered. I do not need 8 cats, but with such a mouse problem, voles, moles and gophers, will keep them if I have to in order to give them the best life, love and care. All my animals get fixed.

I love this video Jami. ❤ You clearly know cats! I was like ignore her hisses! Just love on her if she’ll let you! Of course, you know that already. So many people get scared of the hisses and growls and I get it. It can sound awful, and the cat can literally come out punching! Jami, her color will change as she gets better nutrition. My mom and sister feed a feral cat that was grey when she started showing up at the house. She is now the most beautiful tortie due to better nutrition.

This makes my heart happy. My most recent stray took 3 days of me sitting outsude while I fed him for him to allow me my first pets. After that he met me when i came home from work. Now, Jade is fixed, vetted, and an indoor kitty. He is happy with his now big brother, Aeolus El Niño. Best of luck that it wont take long for Mama Kitty to bring her babies to you 💖🍀🙏

Jami, I couldn't see well enough to know if you have the food bucket sitting in water or not, BUT, if not, you should put a pan of water UNDER the food, to keep ANTS out of it. Speaking from experience here. Beautiful Mama ♥

Thank you, Jami 🥰 I am definitely not a cat person, but I've never turned one away. I've had a few cats call my house their home. Some have climbed through an open window, and I've found them curled up on a chair and never left. I found a very tiny (probably 4 weeks old) in the middle of the road, so I picked it up and drove it home on my motorbike. And of course, the odd ones that I encouraged to come in and eat, but I'm definitely not a cat person 😉🤭 Have a lovely, peaceful evening, Jami 🥰🥰

When you have a lactating mother be a dog or cat, it is always best to give them puppy or kitten food. They need the extra calories to feed those babies. So that was an excellent choice on your part. Give her time she will bring you the baby's. Right now you're doing everything right in earning her trust and not trying to get your hands on the babies. My aunt had a cat named smokey. I think that name might suit her. Or maybe Ash or Asher

For many years we were lucky to have a little gray girl who came to our family under cirumstances similar to these. We just started calling her Mamasan, then my daughter wanted Princess, and my son called her Squeaky Cat because she had a funny little squeak for a meow. Mamasan Princess Squeaky Cat was with us about 14 years, probably about a year or two old when she came to us. Her one and only litter with us was 6 kittens, 2 of which we kept with the others going to excellent homes with good friends. Mamasan ran a tight ship at our household, making sure everyone was tucked into bed at what she considered an appropriate hour, and that everyone arose at a proper time to serve her breakfast. Her children have all excelled in some particular way, and all are living happy golden years now. This girl reminds me strongly of Mamasan. Happy memories.

Jami I feel this is incredible progress with momma, I spent about 4 months attempting to earn the trust of a feral momma cat, sadly fear was stronger than wanting any human touch.
