best scene of the whole film. I even love the bit "we can do this" "do it, we've done it boy that's silver in your hand" "no I mean we can do this...... we can be champions" it's just epic! then of course a man can change his stars, great motivational line for anyone to keep going in life!

In case anyone is wondering each person got 5 silver florins. Each silver florins was roughly $640.00, so they each got around $3200.00 from the tournament. So they put in roughly $7680.00, for a shot at more tournament money. That $3200.00 in the 9th century was enough to live like a king amongst peasants for roughly a year or buy some cattle to start a farm. A king of that time would be a net worth of around $15 billion of today. Jocelyn was probably worth around a couple of million from her family. She could tell by the breed of William's horse from the beginning he was nothing more than an above-average peasant, but she still allowed him to court her. There was king's back then that barely lived above peasants, so it wasn't a surprise to even William's arch enemy. Also, Gelderland was barely known to England at that time, so people weren't surprised of William's fake alter-ego is possible, he was a poor king. Since William won the world tournament, he was probably worth $2-3 million by the end of the movie.

I watched this at home with my parents who were horribly in debt when I was in high school. I never had a room of my own, never had any privacy growing up. This scene hit me and I changed my stars. I went to university and graduated with $60k in debt, part of which was because I gave thousands of dollars to my parents to turn the heat back on, and to save my home from the bank taking it away. Now I own a million dollar home, 3 vehicles, and am a CIO and CISO for a government organization. ANYONE can change their stars. What they don't tell you - before those stars change, there is a hell of a lot hard work, and sacrifice. You will fall down a LOT - but you MUST get back up. You MUST keep pushing forward, even when everyone is telling you to stop. You push forward, and learn along the way. If you haven't yet changed your stars - START RIGHT NOW! ALL OF YOU CAN DO IT!

Needless to say I’m quite confused here.
