What makes me truly sad in relation to near the middle of this video is that I live in West Virginia and can affirm everything said in that section. Much of my family relies on SNAP, everyone always has some form of soda (although my family really likes Dr Pepper more). This place is truly ridden with poverty and a large part of that is due to the shutting down of coal mines making so many of us jobless here. As a result I work 2 fast food jobs and I don’t mean 2 part time jobs I mean 70+ hours a week and that’s not counting doordash trips I take around the wealthier part of town. I do agree with green energy and think we need to work towards it, but I do not think it should have been so abrupt to shut down West Virginia’s biggest form of income so quickly. It has made almost everyone here struggle more than we were already. Great video Brew, and truly great job on the accuracy and details. Keep up the great work!

When I was a teenager my first job was in fast food. As long as we didn't use the disposable cups and kept our cups in the break room we could have as much soda as we wanted. I drank probably 2 or more gallons of Mt. Dew a day (no joke, after I gained 30 pounds over a year I started journaling my intake). I'm 30 now and am considering dental implants. I used to live in WV, one of the poorest towns. It was a terrible place to live, I can confirm that soda was a huge part of most of the other kids diets. My school would do a food program where they gave food to family's who needed it. Almost the entire school was in the program and the food they handed out was complete junk food. I was one of the more wealthy families in the area and it was not a nice place to live.

It really is addictive. I use to have one or 2 cans per day in my teenage years. I don't really do soda all that much anymore. I remember a friend in HS who's parents refused to get him treated for ADHD. so he just continued to self medicate with caffeine. He would had 2 energy drinks by first period, drank through 3 liters of dew by lunch, another energy drink at lunch, another 2 liters of dew by the end of school and another energy drink and one last liter of dew during after-school theatre rehearsals.

Had a friend who drank mountain dew and it gave him a nose bleed. We thought it was nothing then he drinks another can the next day and it caused the same thing to happen. Since then I have not touched a bottle of mountain dew

Just note it isn’t tik tok that’s only watching you. I drank a lot of Mountain Dew, not over 3 bottles, and I get recommended this. These types of occurrences such as this have happened to me several times, it’s just that tik tok is pointed out most.

I live in West Virginia, and my dentist definitely asked me about whether I drink Mountain Dew years ago. I figured this video was going to talk about the brominated vegetable oil in Mountain Dew. It's not great is my understanding.
