Teardown should be template for the future of dynamic destruction in games. Hopefully one day the CPU/GPUs are going to be powerful enough so we can have dynamically destructible voxel environments on massive scale. Voxels that are going to be the size of today's pixeld. Just imagine a game like Arma 3 with Snowrunner-like vehicle physics and Teardown-like destruction. Voxel terrain where each explosion leaves a crater, fires that can spread, tanks and vehicles that can get stuck in mud... That would be the game of my dreams!
