God this was a perfect Demon Slayer episode. The pacing, the build up, the special effects and animation, the voice acting. And the cliff hanger. Im sure any fellow manga reader knew where it was gonna end down to the word. My friends and i watched together and they lost their minds. When the Hashira all jumped in and the Infinity Castle doors opened my buddy gripped his soda so hard he broke the Styrofoam cup and made a mess lmao. This episode was so hype. My friends and i have already decided that the moment we hear release dates for the movies, we're pre-ordering our tickets. The Infinity Castle arcs will be over in 3 movies part 1/2/3. The animation director who choreographed the Upper 6 fight with Tanjiro/Tengen will be reprising his role for all the fight scenes in the Infinity Castle and Showdown arcs (last two arcs of Demon Slayer). - You can see the style already in Gyomei's Stone Breathing Style 😜 Ufotable has been given a "white" check for budget for the movies for these final arcs.... you know what that means!!! Yeah, this season was basically him and his relation with the corps. The opening is basically sang from his perspective, talking to Muzan about the determination of all the Slayers, and how they will never forgive him. If you listen to the full version, the last 5 seconds might be surprising, with all the rage in the singer's voice, but thinking about all this context it makes a lot of sense.

The mugen train movie was a huge hit in japan and internationally. It makes sense from a business perspective. Successful movies demand sequels and these will be adaptations of the core material. Anime movies are usually non cannon tangents of a plot or side stories that have no connection to the actual events of the series. I think this is great, I really enjoyed watching mugen train in theaters.

​@@Nafoozynam As someone who read the manga, I also heard that the Infinity Castle/Sunrise Countdown arc was extremely rushed (Author's words), so I'm really hoping they extend certain fights (Douma and Kaigaku specifically) and add a bit more to Muzans' fight, plus the art style of the manga (in my opinion) doesn't really favor the fight scenes visually, they'll look a lot better when animated.

Of course, the walking at the start taken from the previous episode was padding...it has happened on so many animes but no, Demon Slayer can't do it. Haters gonna hate. If you can, please listen to the ending track with lyrics, it has a whole new meaning with this last episode. Also it was not his whole family, we know there is at least 1 dark haired child that we saw in earlier episodes (final selection and also when Tanjiro met Ubuyashiki the first time) that was not present at the home, but Muzan thinks he has killed the entire family now, which was also Ubuyashiki's intent. The Wife and children that were there knew what was going to happen and did not want Ubuyashiki to die alone.
