A Masterpiece PERFECTED - Metroid Prime Remastered Review

Metroid Prime is a Nintendo classic, and the new Metroid Prime Remastered aims to improve this Gamecube masterpiece. I give my thoughts and make some comparisons to the original.

This is what remasters should be, re-releases of games that significantly improve them graphically. Most "remasters" are just tiny graphical touch ups that have the same exact models as before, and if the original can be emulated chances are the emulator can improve the graphics just as well or even better than the half assed remasters. I still don't have a switch, but when I do eventually get one this is definitely going to be one of the first games I get. Hopefully the other 2 games get remade just as well.

As someone who has never played the series I'm looking forward to checking this out sometime. I've still been holding out on getting the switch, but once I get one Metroid Prime will be at the top of the list for the games I need to get. So many good games for the Switch now.

If you plan on getting physical games, I'd recommend you try to get Metroid Prime in a store immediately if you see it. It's a limited print apparently and is already getting scalped. Walmart seems to be the only place I've known to get it so far rn and I was forunate to get my hands on a copy

overall I consider this game the holy grail of remastered games. to anyone who never heard the term holy grail in relation to a product it means the impossible best product that any other product of the same concept could never hope to achieve. all in all Nintendo has overtaken Sony's title of King of Remastered games if they didn't already.

it's sad that they removed the lighting effects from the blasts ;_; one of the best features of the original prime...

@@spartanq7781 yes! One of the first things I checked was that shiny orb in the save station room on the way to the missile upgrade! I used to look at my own reflection in that thing on the GameCube all the time!

They didn't even remove them, they just kinda broke them cause in some areas they are clearly visible.

As a tip for future videos - don't show the final boss! There's loads of new people coming in, don't spoil them!
