This is excellent journalism. The school's answers are freaking laughable.

I agree with APS, they are not required by law, and have been shown to be largely unnecessary. I am wondering why no students were asked about this in this news segment?

Total disregard for young human life.

It's FRIGHTENING the display of utter IGNORANCE displayed by all the "professionals" at APS. "only used one time in 20 years" so that was a waste? What if it were for YOU Scott Elder? Didn't any of you learn ANYTHING from the NFL? Damar Hamlin is now distributing AED'S because it SAVED HIS LIFE. There is so much more to say but last thought. I've spent over 20 years teaching, TEACHING the importance of AED's and this "school" demonstrates the IGNORANCE that still abounds. SHAME

Just a scam on APS's part to receive more money in their allotted budget from the state, I'm sure.

When APS teachers and staff whine about pay increases, point to this incompetence and corruption. Their administrators pull this daily.

What waste of tax dollars are they talking about?? They just need new batteries, just like the fire alarms and the carbon monoxide alarms.. I felt exactly like the doctor said, I don't feel safe with sending my kids to a school with no second chance of life. And I have been reading about younger ones having a medical emergency and there lives was saved with one of these. Like the comments before mine, that is a supposedly professional that made this discussion. Its a waste of tax payers money to pay those who thought this was a good idea and and a total absolute to just throw them away..
