You would think that jumping on a grenade to save the lives of his fellow Marines would be the defining moment of Kyle Carpenter’s life. But anyone willing to sacrifice his own life must have had quite the story to tell already. And miraculously, he’s survived to tell it. The youngest living Medal of Honor recipient, Kyle can’t remember his heroic act. He recounts his life before the grenade, the surreal moments right after the explosion, and the amazing things he’s chosen to do with his second chance at life. The author of “You Are Worth It: Building a Life Worth Fighting For,” he’s chosen to embrace his scars and spread hope and kindness across the nation. And unbelievably, he’s grateful for the grenade that gave him the opportunity.

No doubt Kyle Carpenter has an amazing insight into his goals and determination to push himself(he’s a Marine). May God Bless you Brother for doing what Jesus said; you laid down your life for your Brother Marines! I hope one day to meet you! If not in this life, but in Heaven!

I believe it was in 2013 when I heard Kyle was going to be hosted by our military at a special dinner honoring him in the East Bay area of California. I was a veteran volunteer, a Blue Star Mom as my only child was chosen to serve in the United States Coast Guard in 2008 at age 18. I immediately learned how to make stained glass windows honoring military. I made a USMC round for Kyle and had SENTINELS OF FREEDOM in San Ramon give it to Kyle. God bless this great Marine and all of our service men and women and veterans who need our help more than ever before. GOD BLESS ALL -

What an interview! I am very impressed how Kyle is making everything so simple and yet complex at the same time. Gives me a new perspective to many things, simply by listening to him. I also am impressed by the way Glenn is conducting the interview; I can tell that he himself had many hard and defining moments in his life and that he chose these moments not to become bitter, but different and stronger. Way to go, both of you!

If we all had just a fraction of the honor , integrity, and loving spirit that this young man has what a far more beautiful world this would be. Instead of our schools teaching critical race theory and other things that pull us apart they should be studying how a young man like this lives his life and is grateful for the bad things in life that led to him becoming a stronger and better person. I can only hope that if i were put into a position like he found himself in that i would have even half the honor and courage and determination that he has shown us all.

I love America and Americans so very much, it makes my heart pound out of my chest!!! I am from Australia, but my grandfather was an American WW2 veteran. America is the only country worth dying for, and a great shining beacon for what the rest of the world can achieve. I would give anything to be with my family in the USA. The greatest gift anyone could give to their children, is to have them become American and raise them to love God and Country and lay their life down for it. I will spend the rest of my life trying to get home to the USA. Never ever, under any circumstances give up your rights America, especially your 2nd! It is horrible to have your mouth sewn up and your hands tied behind your back. That's life in Australia and every other country in the world. If you give an inch, you will loose everything. God bless you America!!!

Honestly I see Jesus intervention in this Soldier Story I can see an Angel of the Lord covering the Grenada with the hand and Stopping the blast to a degree that he still alive. all because Jesus has a plan for him like with each one of us. I know my and I struggle every day. because the enemy has a hold and fear kicks in I know fear is of the devil because Jesus will never give us the Spirit of fear. who ever give a thumbs down to this interview does not have the Love of Christ in the heart. and it is doom to spend Eternity in Hades.

As amazing as this young man and American hero is, he is not the youngest Medal of Honor recipient of all time. Willie Johnson was just 13 during the American Civil War and Jack Lucas was 17 during WWII when they received their MOH. Obviously, they both lied about their age in order to enlist. Kyle Carpenter is the 8th youngest MOH recipient. 1. Willie Johnston - 13 Civil War 2. James Walsh - 16 Occupation of Vera Cruz 3. Jack Lucas - 17 WWII 4. Robert Burke - 18 Vietnam 5. Benjamin Young - 19 Civil War 6. Marvin Young - 21 Vietnam 7. Robert Femoyer - 23 WWII 8. Kyle Carpenter -24 Afghanistan
