Yep I agree. I wasn’t at all impressed when the news first came out but after thinking about it and what has been changed, it could actually be a good move by Tamiya. The Lunchbox, Frog as well as the boomerang could all have this treatment and work well in the market. 🤔 I think as long as the original has been released already, doing an Evo version is any going to upset anyone.

I’m really liking the entire vintage reissue era. I had missed out on the last few RC 10 reissues, but I finally snagged myself a gold pan 40th anniversary. When it originally debuted, I was more into the on road scene I had cars like the RC10-L. I’ve recently started going back and hopping onto every Tamiya offered. In the case of the green pan, it doesn’t make much sense and maybe this is not a big issue in production tooling for them, but I feel like those will be on clearance in a year or so.. I’m just waiting for the full sized JRx2

Yep, the Super Astute is getting a reissue but it’s old news and it’s been rereleased before. It’s worth a look for sure, especially at that price point. If I have any money left, I would like to add one back in the collection.

The RC10 Green is a real head scratcher. Love the idea of a 4WD kit. Those were soooo cool back in the day! It's a shame that Yokomo has hitched their wagon to the Associated horse, because to me, the ultimate re re would be the Losi/Ranch Pit Shop Yokomo SE. For me, one of the most iconic cars ever!

I’m definitely on board and already saving my money for that Team Car no interest in that green 40th anniversary. My intention is to race the Team Car and I’ll build and run the numbered 40th Anniversary RC10 I already own at least once but now it’ll be more display. I’ll be watching what that TC8 goes for as well but if it’s priced similarly to the newest XRay or Mugen etc I’m likely to go with one of those and my TC7.2 will forever be my last Associated Touring Car

I don’t think it will personally as it’s not special enough and it would be easy to replicate even if it did. You would be better off going for something like a Kyosho Fantom 60th CRC-2 as that was a low production number and you could never build one from parts. Prices have already jumped and it’s desirable. Kyosho are also not making anymore of them as far as we know.

maybe the green kit would look good with a Masami paint scheme? Maybe not accurate for purists, but...? I'm not really interested in the 40th, the Broccoli 40th, the Jay Halsey one, etc... I might be however interested in the Team kit, but waiting to see what the specs and price are... Still have my eye on the Fan RC kit , but have yet to get an RC10 rere of any sort. I do like the latest Ultima and wouldn't mind picking that up after I've gotten past Christmas , but after almost non-stop racing for the last 3 or so years, I'm currently enjoying a bit of an RC break this winter, and looking forward to some other hobbies a bit this winter and putting energy into some other things.... I do like the idea of the Hornet Evo kit, and may pick that up, I only own a few Tamiya RCs, but I'm also hopeful that the Evo approach might find it's way to other classics as well.... maybe an update, oil shocks, bearings, etc will find their way onto things like a Midnight Pumpkin or Lunch Box, and others... the next thing Tamiya could do is use better plastics on many new kits, like the plastics used in the BBX which really seems nice. The Ultima looks the most appealing to me, I have the standard Ultima ReRe and LOVE it.... I've beaten the snot out of that car, many miles and lots of huge air time, 8.5t brushless, and it's a friggin' TIMEX of a kit !!! was wanting another run of the standard Ultima kits so that I could get one and build it with a Tomahawk body and possibly upgraded shocks...this new anniversary edition seems great as it's almost just that. The Dirt Master 2wd Buggy is a nice kit, a local guy got one and raced it some over the summer... the new kit coming that is based on that does kinda look cool. I got to drive the Dirt Master at the track and it drove REALLY nicely! Outdoor dirt track for 1/10 as well as 1/8, and he DID upgrade a few bits and put the nice aluminum shocks on it... but I was surprised by the level of rear grip and also steering that it had, it was pretty dialed! Mini-B racing was fun, so the Micro ones might be a hoot as well... Watched while having some coffee, I may have to try some tea someday, tea that isn't cold sweet tea that is... but rather a hot tea with creamer like I have in my coffee. You mentioned it at the beginning of the video, and mentioned it depending on what part of the world you're in... I know a lot of tea drinkers, both hot and cold teas... just not usually with cream in it. How do you like your tea? Is coffee not a thing there, or is it just not nearly as common as tea? What about a latte or espresso? cheers

U should, i dont have an xray but my dad races the xb2c 24 and xb4c 24 And there really good. Also most people at the track drives xray or Shumacer i live in Sweden and thats the main brands here. Also a used t4 seems good since there like 160$ to 220$ and i have a pretty low budget since im very Young.

Being quiet during covid lockdown when they could have sold "millions" and now, while many (if not all...) countries are struggling (even rich Switzerland were cost of life sky rocketed, especially health insurance), they're bringing a new release every 2 monthes 😮 Tamiya is "quiet", hopefully preparing 2026 for the 50th anniversary of their 1st RC car 😊 They have so many aces still to re-release, even re-re-re. And The Hornet EVO should sell well as it combines nostalgia with a really nice handling chassis 😊 The Porsche already did well apparently 😎

It’s just a different color and down the road Is anybody going to want a re-release of a 1980s toy that has no history and the people who grew up with it are now in senility or in the ground. I think with all these vintage cars that somehow gets lost that these are re-releases of toys for young folk of the 80s and early 90s. Take pre-war automobiles for example. Do you think the 91 works is worth it? Or should I be waiting for the YZ-10 93…. Not being able to justify spending the money for a trickbits YZ-10 being outside the UK.(but would definitely want one) I own a 870c….. Does open up the funds then for a ultima 60th….. YOKOMO definitely seems inflated in comparison to the 60th ultima sporting more of that delicious carbon…. What are your thoughts Gav?

If you have the 870c, I would skip the 91 as it’s not that different. I would hold out for the 93 as I’m sure it will come 2025-26. A YZ10R Trickbits is a modern interpretation of a vintage buggy and is totally designed to be a racing buggy over a shelf queen. I’m planning on adding the new Ultima to the collection. The UK prices are strong that’s for sure vs the Japanese prices.

The 40th anniversary is a collector car. To race that car in vintage races for me would be a no! The 6 gear tranny is meh! The Stealth is far superior. I built an original RC10 back in the 80's and I have 40th now. I also had a team car back in the day and that would be welcome. I always wanted a DS and I got one of those recently.

I was excited to see the works 91, but then looks like its got the drive train, shocks and some other parts carried over from the 870. So it wont be anything like the original and prob need a load spending on it to get it to go well ? The green rc10 ? Ive no idea why there bringing that out ? Its not a rere of anything and still comes with bushes and dog bones 😮 i’ll stick to my 40th as its a great car to run. Still waiting to see if schumacher suprise us. Cheaper for you UK RC gius to just go to Japan and grab some bargains. When yiu see 600 on the top right of a Tamiya hop up part, thats actually 600yen or around 3 quid so for sure your getting jipped.

what are you doing with camera? keep it simple!

Believe it or not, having two cameras makes editing so much easier and quicker. It gives me a simple and easy way to remove any mistakes or parts without adding more complexity. My only issue is I really need two of the same camera to make the footage look exactly the same. If you watch the beginning and then the end, you can see I figured it out more. I talk to one camera and when I make a mistake, I keep rolling, swap to look at the other camera, and repeat the last line I said and keep going. @@RCKickschannel I've only seen the MIP in action a couple of times when I was a kid. Maybe they didn't set it up right or something, but it didn't work nearly as well as a real 4wd like an Optima (my car at the time).

The yz10 isn't a 870c. Different arm length, chassis shape and wheel offset is different.

Looks the same to me. The AE YZ10 is the same as the 870c apart from the body. The soon to be released YZ10 91 has a different chassis and arms
