A memorial project - carding rolags, spinning and knitting the Morning Surf Scarf

This video is about a project I took on for a friend who lost a dear little sheep, Ruby. He asked me to make something from her wool for his wife to have as a momento for Ruby, who was a favorite little ewe.
I washed the wool then carded it on my drum carder into rolags. I spun it on my Majacraft Rose and plyed it on my Hansen E spinner.
The pattern is Morning Surf - I knit it into a nice long scarf. Here is a link to the pattern:

Hey Jen, I just washed Fanny’s 2024 fleece and am drying it now! I loved that she was older and “a little bit stand offish”. I can relate! I have never purchased a raw fleece before. All you share and teach me about your flock made me take the risk. I cannot wait to prep and spin this soft, crimpy, fleece!😊
