I agree so much. Last year I moved to Toronto from Mexico. So my English can sometimes get confusing. I asked the air hostess to repeat the food choices. She proceeded to reply with this "Were you not paying attention, honestly, the choice you have is Chicken or pasta",. So they come around with the trolley and ask me what I want. "Can I have pasta?",. She said "We ran out". So I got chicken. She then proceeded to hand pasta to the person across the aisle from me. This guy next to me saw what was happening and confronted her. She proceeded to get all defensive and rude. I said I didn't understand what she said. She then has the cheek to say. "Ma'am it's not my problem that you didn't learn English like the rest of us",. I was now very mad. I was thinking what is here deal? The other people around me stood up for me until she walked away rolling her eyes. When I was getting off the flight she said "Try not to be difficult next time , and learn some English",. I was so mad and complained about this to air Canada as soon as I was off the flight. They ignored me completely. I talked to the airport manager and they said they would sort it out. The actual airport workers were very nice and apologised for an airline they didn't even run.

This man fought to get a refund for over a year, was treated much the same way you are describing, he decided to write a funny song about the crappy United Airlines customer service and posted the video to youtube, it went viral, 13+ million views and he FINALLY received an apology, from the airlines,google the story it's pretty awesome! My boyfriend was flying from Dubai to Canada to go to university here with all of his belongings in 2 suitcases and Air Canada lost both of them..... for almost 2 weeks!!!! This is actually really interesting. I used to work at a customer service for a big airline stationed in Europe (unfortunately I'm not allowed to say which one due to the personal opinions I'm about to spew), and sometimes, we had to combine our routes with Air Canada in order to get our customers to their destinations. I cannot tell you how many times our customers would call us and tell us that something had gone wrong; bags were missing; flights were cancelled; staff was rude; cabin service was poor, etc etc etc... All of this was _mainly_ Air Canada's fault. We co-operated with airlines from the USA, Africa, South America, Asia and so on, and yes - of course we also had problems with other airlines, but I swear to God, I got _at least_ three phone calls a week from customers who had either been treated poorly by Air Canada's crew, or from customers who were litterally _stuck_ somewhere in God-knows-where because Air Canada had cancelled their connecting flights, without informing the customers what to do or where to go. I remember speaking to a mom who was freaking the F out, as she had spent several hours waiting for her young daughter to arrive to a certain airport, but the flight still hadn't shown up and no one seemed to know what was going on. So I get on my computer, heart racing with anxiety over what could have possibly happened to this 10-year old, and finally find the flight the girl was supposed to be on. It had been cancelled. Air Canada had changed a bunch of flights and effectively messed up the girl's entire ticket, without explaining it to the girl OR the mother beforehand! Thankfully, everything worked out for them at the end, but Jesus Christ! Me and my co-workers were absolutely stunned by the complete lack of care and sense of responsibility. Air Canada, get your effing act together.

10 years on and this video is still relevant. My husband Danny and I watched this video when it first came out in 2014 and loved it. Last month we were booked on an Air Canada flight to Toronto. This was to be our first time flying with Air Canada. However, we got bumped off with no explanation! They told us they had to give our seats to someone else! And we were booked on first class and had been booked months ahead! My husband and I both immediately remembered this video and just looked at each other and said “Air Canada!” 😂 Thank you for putting a smile on our face during what should have been a stressful situation! ❤ PS I still love Canada and Canadian people but will never fly Air Canada again. ❤️

My mom had gotten a discount package for a vacation, and a little while before we planned to go, my dad's sister's husband's mom/ my aunt's mother in law passed away, and her memorial was over the weekend we planned to have the vacation. I remember flying from Ireland to Canada as a holiday and we went with air Canada and when I was showing my passport to let me into to the country the woman goes "God you look really ugly in this photo you should get a new one" so let me get this straight I was an 11 year old girl who wanted to go with her family in holiday to Canada and this woman calls me ugly then she passes MY passport to the person in the booth next to her and they both start to laugh lemme repeat LAUGH!!! It totally ruined Canada for me

I flew JetBlue when I was flying to Texas for a dance convention. It was amazing. I ended up staying for a month because my uncle also lives there and I was visiting. I flew back by myself and they always would check on me and make sure I didn’t feel sick or wasn’t scared. They also sat another kid flying by herself next to me so I wasn’t as nervous. I now have a good friend that lives in Texas.

ONLY SIX TIMES I HAVEN’T LOST MY STUFF I also take all my schoolbooks on the plane so when I was getting my bag weighed I realised I had to take out my books and the employee watched me lean forward to open it and she presses the button and I left my books in their. Amen girl. I was on one way Air Canada flight from Toronto to Phoenix in December, plane caught on fire, I blew an ear drum, the masks came down, everyone thought they were dying... Long story short I was stranded in Albuquerque for 1.5 days absolutely clueless as to what was going on and all we got was 30% off an Air Canada flight to be used within 6 months. It was enough to never fly again!

Air Canada staff is really rude and needs patience and doesn’t care my uncle has cancer and had a business class seat cause he was going to India for treatment and the flight was overbooked on business class and but he had a reserved seat and with all his issues ( he had stage 3 cancer plus a bag and mouth sores and his arms were swollen ) they made him give up his seat to a person who didn’t have a reservation on the flight and put him in the worst seats in economy
