We pray to one god and I am not a chosen one that is Christianity who says that, I always hear it from them. Islam is very devoted to their faith and practice the religion fundamentally. Some Jews are very fundamentally religious but most American Jews identify as culturally Jewish. Meaning they don't practice the faith. In America there are people that have no faith at all. They could never obey the rules of Sharia Law. I understand that Israel has killed a lot of innocent women and children. Although I saw a video of a hideous murder of a 7 year old Palestinian boy who was beheaded by Hamas and using children as human sheilds. Muhammad Hijab, as an Orthodox Jew we believe there are 7 heavens and a place of punishment called Gehinnom with a number of compartments to it. But this place serves as a purification for entering the afterlife or an end to the soul. It is very complicated to explain and if you are interested I can do a tutorial about our beliefs on the afterlife. Why do we choose life? Because when a person dies his deeds finish. The whole point of being sent into this world is to do Torah and mitzvot as a Jew. When a Jew is circumcised we bless the infant that he be fruitful in his collection of Torah and mitzvot. Not only is he sent into this world for a purpose to refine, elevate and to accomplish goals such as preserving and teaching Judaism to the next generation [I.e. communal merit] but he also gathers up reward for himself. A mitzvah can only be accomplished with a soul and a body. A soul without a body cannot do a mitzvah. A mitzvah is specific. If it isn't done exactly the way God commanded it then it's not a mitzvah. Similarly a body without a soul is not alive.

Even though I agree that they should make the charity part shorter, he isn't begging FYI. He is quite rich alhamdulillah. They are collecting charity for the cause of Allah to build a Mosque in Norway. And Quran says, Allah is free of need and it we the creation who is needy. Allah give us life, parents who teach us knowledge through school which we use to earn money and that which we spend in the cause of poor and building house to worship God. The charity is how our sins are removed and its an opportunity to buy an ever lasting home in Paradise. With regards to the Jews being the chosen people, all it means is that we are chosen to be the examples, the role models of people that follow God. And the fact that many Jews in history and today don’t live up to that high standard, doesn’t negate the fact that that is still their job. With regards to the value of life, Jews certainly understand that this life is fleeting and only temporary. There are many many parables in the Talmud reflecting the idea that “this world is but a hallway and the next is the palace”. As well as much emphasis on the futility of material gains. As a Jew I wanted to respond to what he said. It's true we believe in the afterlife, but also consider it to be hubris of the highest degree to say one knows what that afterlife will entail. Some say there will be reincarnation till you complete the commandments, others say there will be resurrection of the dead, still more say there will be a purifying of all souls. This is true.. we are vague on the afterlife. Second point though.. you kept saying that we think we are "so great" this is not true. We DO NOT consider ourselves to be the favorite people. In fact throughout our own scriptures we are constantly being punished. We consider ourselves to be a "chosen people." And there is a HUGE difference. We do not wish for death, because we were chosen to do a job here on earth, the job of keeping and doing the 613 commandments. We consider it a privilege to do these things. BTW you can covert to Judaism and you can leave Judaism, and in fact many have done both. So if someone feels called to do the commandments of the Bible they can convert, its not about blood/race... it is about tribe. Though we accept converts we do not seek them, now why don't we seek converts? Because we are not so arrogant as to think we are the best, and you have to join us, or you arnt the best. Unlike Islam and Christianity, we are not so arrogant to think the afterlife is solely for us. Or that you need some special religion for Gd to pick you to go to heaven. We believe anyone can find salvation with Gd regardless of their religion. (Side note: The Quran talks about Jews all the time. Just to clarify some divergences, being the chosen people doesnt mean preferred people but people that have to accomplish more tasks in order to be closer to the divine ( the jews have 613 commandments to be more holy, and the non jews have just 7 comandments) Jews believe they were chosen to spread the main messenge that god is one, also to receive the commandments from god as the profets became from them. We act and speak according to how the Prophet ﷺ acted and spoke after the death of his son, Ibrahim AS. When Ibrahim, the child of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ died, he wept and said: “Verily the eyes shed tears and the heart grieves, and we are saddened over your departure, oh Ibrahim. But we will not say except that which is pleasing to our Lord." They are of course saddened by the death of their loved ones, but that doesn't mean they aren't content with what is written, and the reward of paradise for the martyrs, may Allah ﷻ be pleased with them, doesn't do anything to lessen the injustice and oppression they have faced in the dunya, nor will it lessen the final punishment for their oppressors, which is in the hands of Allah ﷻ.

Yes, we have Gan Eden, which is Paradise. Gehenom is like a temporary purification place for those who G-d has judged as needing a lot of purification before being united with him.
