I am SOOOOOOOO Happy you started with the Primer yarn to make scrunchies!!! Because it was cheepy dollar store yarn, I started making practice scrunchies with that yarn to get the technique down before moving on to the better bernat or juicy yarn I have!! It was great to hear your thoughts on it!! (and something I noticed, bernat and juicy velvet is a 5 weight yarn while premire is a 6 weight (or so it said on the lable..) so thought the extra bulk was causing the probs for me! cus I was having a hard time getting it to ruffle evenly, But that just shows your lvl of Mastery!! to take something not great, and turn it into your regular high quality pieces!!! You're Sooo cool!! 🥰🥰🥰

I always really enjoy your videos - thanks. I notice you often ponder whether you have enough yarn to make items and wonder why you don't weigh your creations? Then you can weigh the yarn you've got and know fairly accurately if you have enough.

That’s one reason I tend to not buy yarn online, they send you messy yarn, they don’t match your dye lots and you have to spend a lot for free shipping. I rather just go to the stores which I live close to Michaels, JoAnn’s and Hobby Lobby. Occasionally I do order online from Premier and Lion Brand if I’m unable to let it from the stores and they’re having a really big sale…that helps to offset the shipping cost. Love all the items made…you are a huge inspiration to so many people including me!!! Stay safe and be blessed ❤

Kelsie, question about your mesh bags. I also followed Stephanie Zeds tutorial and love how they work up. My question is this: what measurements are you getting? Yours look bigger than mine are coming out. It could just be the camera, but not sure. Also, an idea for a ‘how many can I make video’ mesh bags 😊

I bet it would suck a bit, BUT since people are asking for a yarn organization video (me included) what if you also made a google spreadsheet or something to keep track of all the colors and brands you have! And since you can get google sheets on your phone, you could check it when you’re out and about! Just an idea, but I definitely think it would be really helpful

I moved yesterday and had to sit in the car for over 10 hours and I packed a giant bag of projects to work on (knit and crochet) but I hurt the thumb on my dominant hand the night before and couldn't do anything in the car😭

That yarn explosion looks familiar! 😂 I love Joann and I order online frequently as my local Joann is small and has limited yarn, and when my yarn comes if it isn't either a mess or hasn't been shipped in 15 different packages it's like winning the lottery! But I love the yarn and unless I drive a couple of hours away to find a different Joann, online is where I get the best variety (and usually some great pricing!). So I'll keep ordering from them and just take whatever drama comes with it because it's worth it. Thanks for another fun video!

I'm not sure of what days you make your vids, (but i'm assuming you made this before wednesday evening) but I think it's cool that you got swiming pool, the same one I'm using to make bags, and thought to pair up the yarns to make the most out of yarns you don't have alot of! I had the same experience with the premier just chenille. I tried to use it for amigurumi and it shed like crazy and you couldnt pull it to close the magic ring without it snapping! I made it into yarn scrap filling 😭

I use plush yarn for scrunchies and they are as big and look like yours but one skein makes 8 scumchies and one skein costs 5€ but I buy them in Germany so I don’t know if your ones are the same ❤

I have noticed, if my yarn coils like that, or it doesn’t center pull smoothly, I pulled it out of the wrong side of the ball. Like you know how there’s a tight hole side and an open-ish side, I will sometimes stick the yarn back through the ball and pull it out of the other side. That usually fixes it and I have no idea why.
