As much as i love art (and i know i can do it to a certain level), ive hidden away from doing it for many years. Its clear to me now that this is due to not wanting my work to be judged by myself and others for fault. After discovering your work, im inspired again. Inspired to stop thinking and simply draw. I love how the white pigment draws out the different analogue gradients back and forth with the Charcoal. I think the first time I realised a break through mastering values, was whilst using Charcoal mixed with Chalk. It was much easier for me to get a reference tone for the rest of the scale, which affected everything I created afterwards whether in Oil Paint, Pastel or Charcoal 😊
