What’s happening in this “A Million Ways to Die in the West” movie clip?
Clinch Leatherwood (Liam Neeson who also played in Taken and The Schindler List) holds Anna (Charlize Theron who also played in Mad Max Fury Road and The Old Guard) in his hands threatening to kill her if Albert (Seth MacFarlane who also worked on Family Guy and Ted) doesn’t show up. Albert proposes a gunfight in order to see who is worthy of the love of Anna. In the middle of the west town they point their guns at each other, and Albert shoots Clinch Leatherwook before the count to three, but the bullet only scrapes his shoulder. Clint disarms Albert, but before he can shoot him, Albert asks to say a few words before dying. This gives the time for the snake venom to be effective and kill Clinch Leatherwood.

Nah if it's in the hollow point at the top of the bullet it would be fine temperature wise. The real issue here is that you would have to use a good wax or other sealant to seal off the top of the bullet and do so without as you said ruining the temperature sensitivity of the poison. Plant Sap might work or room temperature tar or maybe just a tight fitted corkage and glue. You would have to do some extensive testing but I guess he has his sheep for that.

I feel like this plan falls apart for several reasons: 1. I don’t think you could get enough venom on the bullet to be deadly for a full grown adult male. 2. Death by snake venom takes a while. He’d probably die of septic shock from the wound before he dies from snake venom.
@TheSpitfired

Good point. This plot is only crazy enough to work in a movie…
@NinjaRaider2
@NinjaRaider2 2 жыл бұрын
i mean obviously it's a bad plan, but as unrealistic as it is, the clip showed the hollow point bullet being filled up with the venom, not just coating one with it, and also a venom strong enough to kill an adult human would definitely either do it before septic shock, or it wouldn't kill them at all i don't think this is quite the most unrealistic part about this movie though to be honest

1. This is a movie and what's displayed here is not required to be factually correct. More so because it's a comedy 2. Your perception on snake venom is very very wrong. If you're studying toxicology you better get your shit right or you're gonna fail exams

@alphanerd7221
@alphanerd7221 12 күн бұрын
The amount of venom a snake injects is less than the volume of a hollow point bullet and all we know for sure is that he passed out and then was declared dead by two hoopleheads.
