For what it's worth... sometimes the part is not available and/or no longer made.. time can also be an issue (money wise) So you have to make do with what you have or can repair.. best answer, no..But If your paycheck depended on using the equipment as repairer or user, you might want to take the chance.. This does not diminish the skill involved

Everything o.k. But what about hardening. It will wear out very soon. If he weld it with EN 8 or 9 metal there is possibilities for induction hardening..
