This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

Letting go of what you think you are is the action of enlightenment. However, the same means are necessary for it to happen, as it is no "you", that is letting go. 👁♥️ Only therein lies the peace of god.

When there is the seeing of the fact, that the entity or the 'me' that has been 'accumulating', is also part of the accumulation, action takes place. An action not born or influenced by time or the past, something completely unconditioned.

Which implies acceptance to what is, if I am not getting it wrong. But the problem is, we poor humans need to know " how". Is the observation of the whole scenario enough to let go of what is unacceptable? I'll be grateful if you share your experience

i think we basically accumulate so as to help feel secure, protected, noticed, loved and accepted. We think that the more we collect the more enough we become while in fact we just become heavier, more fearful and even more insecure!

This is it! For me it is like a greed, my mind wants me to read more, and accumulate more. Later when I dived deep into it I found out that it is to nourish my ego, to prove to others that I know more. But even if for a moment I free myself of the garbage I have put in my head, I am as light as a bird and as vast as a sky.

You're at the rightful place. Freedom. You don't know where you're heading because it's unknown. You shouldn't fear the unknown because you don't know. When you do you're fearing projections from the known or assumptions from your imagination. Example: like a child scared of the dark because he simply doesn't know what's there.

"To fly high, take less" K says, "Why does the mind collect at all ..." If I don't have any, the total time, along with the energy, to analyze is saved. I have nothing in my mind to serve or attend to; my mind holds nothing, for my attention to observe! I am a totally free person, and K is profoundly happy for me! From wherever he is at the moment... in or somewhere open sky! ... ? Well ... An enormous kind of a dream ... I might fall in illusion soon ....

Okay, a mind free from becoming is a mind that is no longer dreaming an awakened mind, a mind that doesn't say i am these or that, because saying i am healthy is another form of dream different from the dream of sick, but awakened mind is neither of both

The key is to seek Order. Inwardly and outwardly, step by step (in order!), in every action, in every feeling, in every word, in our house, work, food, habits, relationships, etc, etc... in every part of our life. And for this one must be very attentive, observing, not judging (its of vital importance!).

Is it that when thought momentarily subsides then thinking as silent verbalisation has also momentarily come to an end. Clearly thought, which seems to drive thinking must continue for survival in physical existence. It seems the thinking that is unnecessary is brain activity to protect the illusion of a centre.

if the mind empties itself of all the accumulation, then what remains left, can we call it a mind then? MInd itself is a process of thoughts. Ending the movement of the thoughts means ending the mind. Finishing its existence.
@bh_486

I don't think that this is what Krishnamurti means by not accumulating. A mind that is not accumulating does not stop functioning. Rather, it is very alert to the moment. Being alert, it does not need to use previous accumulated facts and theories to make sense of the moment. In fact, when the effort to remember quietens down, then the newness of the moment can be experienced, without trying to accumulate that experience.

The mind is nothing but a tool, and a tool is only needed when it's needed, clogging it with thoughts or ideas will make the mind active when in reality is not needed, you can still use your mind but you will control it instead of letting the tool control you

As J states above if the mind tries to “understand” emptiness that’s another thing mind is going to collect / acquire. We cannot “understand” emptiness .... because there are truly no words or definition for it. Even the word emptiness is not truly it. We can say emptiness or we can say vastness , everythingness. Still these do not describe “that”... but ones the one who has truly gone beyond accumulation/ intellectual knowledge, the one who is questioning dissolves.... it’s a deeper inner journey , a shift 😊

@@bh_486 I agree with what you wrote. But the question that remains is how not to accumulate. I know K is completely against when we ask "how" (because it implies a process), but I can't glimpse my mind being free of accumulation because thoughts simply sprout.
@nangotoman9429
@nangotoman9429 3 жыл бұрын
@@otgunz one thing is functional knowledge and other is accumulation of knowledge. Functional is needed, the other is mostly illusory. One can use functional knowledge to do something like walk, write or solve a math problem, and once we use it we stop it. The accumulation of knowledge and experiences brings compulsion of thought, and that brings more disorder. The more we accumulate the more distracted we are, trying to put an order to all, thinking constantly, comparing, bringing all the memories to the present again and again, "changing my mind" on and on, what lead us to be trapped in the past. So what happens if we live as there is just functional knowledge? We live a situation, process and finish it, all in the same movement, so there is no accumulation, no rest to watch and analyze again and again. We are free from all that. Then we start living the present and no more in the past, because one IS order so there is peace. Its like a computer, if we accumulate pictures, audios, videos, all what we see in the internet we download to the computer, and we install all kind of unnecesary programs that keep running in the background, it will run out of space and it will start to function slower, because there is no space, and then if we want to use the computer to do any work there will be struggle. But if you keep your computer in order and just with the programs and files that you really need it will go at its fastest.
