Using a voice clip from Sonic Adventure sounds really weird, out of place and kind of disapointing, though. If a clip HAD to be used (which I don't even really think it did), it should have at least been a Mike Pollack clip.

i love how cartoony the animations are! the ball jump has Squash & stretch! and that anticipation pose before the SpinDash!! also the cutscenes have that stop-motion jitter.

We had ports of the original Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Saturn (Sonic Jam), Nintendo GameCube/Sony PlayStation 2/Microsoft Xbox (Sonic Mega Collection), Nintendo DS (Sonic Classic Collection), Nintendo 3DS (Sega 3D Classics Collection) and the improved version of the 1991 classic from 2013 on multiple eighth-ninth gen consoles. We also had Sonic Origins and the even worse Sonic Genesis for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. If Sega wants to remake Classic Sonic games (mainly the main games of the early 1990s), then this is the style they should go for.

Why put a lot of effort into remaking (again) a bad mobile phone-like game that most people disliked while you could as well (re)make any game with more interesting gameplay, inspired stages and good music? Just make what Sonic 4 should have been, if you want, not remake the cheap cash grab that was the Sonic 4 we got.

These 2 games are completely different. Sonic 4 is just the classic games but with 3d graphics and worse physics while sonic redux is kind of a reimagining of Sonic 1 with modern sonic elements
