Exactly! Not to mention the majority of the talking was in the cutscenes, NOT during the level like Forces... they'd hold full conversations in a level!! Minimal talk during White Jungle run, just straight to the point where the emerald is located. It helps to focus on the actual level...I love it!

@@elemental8672 Forces had better cutscenes and less bugs than this we can't even lie. Don't get me wrong this game is amazing, but it's not anywhere close to an official sonic game title, at least not at the stage it is now; it still needs to improve. For example: the light speed dash is very buggy it almost never works especially when you have an electric shield. There are parts of the stage that a player may think they can go on but are actually just a death plain. The water in the last stage kills you instantly. The cutscenes animations are just janky in some areas, though I will commend the lighting.

This is actually an outstanding job! Got the same feeling I did when I played Generations for the first time. There's something so damn special about seeing a level from your childhood-- in this case, White Jungle-- get revamped.

It's decent. But it's not as polished as an official game at all. Audio-bugs, terrible audio-mixing, confusing level design and an overall not too great appearance. Controls look really tight though but that's it.

I played Tekken 7 Jungle Outpost (Round 1) OST over that last stage. I think it fits because of the action, hype and intensity of that stage. But this is just my preference. I did the same with the 1st stage but played Jungle Outpost (Moment of Impact) OST over that stage and it's bangin' (at least with this guy's run).

Although yes I know for forces almost nobody who made it has made a sonic game bevor it still doesn't excuse it. And I personally wouldn't compare this to mania, I would compare mania with any other good fan 2d sonic fan made game. Plus if I'm not wrong it's possible to complete a stage with only pressing boost.....that's kind of a huge error (and if not it's still possible to beat a stage with one hand)

The game has the potential to reach Sonic Unleashed (Day Stages) levels of excellence. 2nd stage is *soooo* fucking cool. This is phenomenal for a fan game. Only complaint is the soundtracks didnt get to that point of climax for me.

Yeah, I'm gonna join in the hype here. This looks amazing! The plot seems simple and straight-forward, but action heavy, just like how we want it! And the level design is great too, taking ques from both the modern and classic 3D games, whilst allowing for both the mediocre and the twitchy to get through it with time to shine. Simply amazing!

Very impressive! Tone's a bit too dramatic for my liking - Sonic looked wayyyy too stoic winning that emerald and they could've just had it end at Sonic escaping the temple and have Shadow find out for a hook rather than the over-the-top plane crash - and the level design as shown wasn't great but all-in-all it's a very commendable effort. Hope they build upon this!

I love the little details, like when Sonic launches off a curve while boosting and does the soaring animation. Also when Sonic lands, he does a little roll. Which makes sense - if anyone does the landing roll, it’s the guy that rolls to do literally anything. Also the sound effect of the Bounce move is really great. Too many of the wooden walls you have to duck under though.

I saw this on a different channel where the VA for Sonic's cutscenes commented. They said that they didn't know the context of the statements, so now that they do, they are going to more than likely re-record lines. They are very excited to produce a final product! They've gotten similar advise from everyone, so they plan on taking the suggestions to heart.

This looks so good! I loved the concept of climbing a giant tree and escaping from it as it's flooding. And most of the tree had actual platforming and not just boosting! I'm excited to see where this project will go. I hope Sonic Team steps up their game like this!

This...is actually impressive. The cutscene at the start followed by gameplay, with minimal talking in game with only talking during major points like half way through or at the end. The level was pretty well designed. Can't say the same for Tree Palace as I thought there was a sudden lack of focus? It went from speed and skill to puzzles and platforming? I really strange turn, but overall this is a pretty damn well done piece

I really like this honestly. Its showing alot of people that Sonic Team needs to up their game cuz fans are starting to legit put in more work than the actual developers. My only gripe about this is that the first level seemed waaaaay too platformy for a sonic level. The second level though legit looks amazing! It honestly felt like this is how a sonic level should look and feel. The atmosphere was great. This could honestly come off as an actual sonic game on how realistic and authentic it looks. Props to the team who made this!

The only aspects I think are a bit lacking are some sound design (I understand why Tails' lines are distorted during the levels, but it doesn't sound quite right to me) and that the writing feels a little unnatural but nothing awful. Other than that, this looks _excellent!_ The animation in the cutscenes, the gameplay, the level design, the _music,_ all amazing. You've got my attention with this!

If you were to tell me in 2015, that THIS was the big Sonic game coming out instead of Forces, I would be TOTALLY fooled by this gameplay. 3 things I would change though: 1. The sound of music and overall effects fading out when boosting is kind of ear-rape/ear-popping to me so I would reduce it. 2. The 2nd level needs a lot more direction in terms of where to go because it's a bit of a maze. And 3. Sonic's speed while boosting should be reduced a bit to prevent overshooting jumps and boosting out of curved platforms like the trees in the 3rd level. Overall, this game is INCREDIBLE

this is all really good!! i'm proud of the people who made this but it does need a lot more work. The cutscenes are great, lip sync is a bit off but that's all good. The voice cast are doing a great job!! Although, i wish the dood who was voicing Sonic actually did the sounds (i don't know what else to call them) that are in the gameplay, like jumping and homing attacking and stuff, instead of using the japanese voice clips of Sonic but i guess that's just a nitpick. I feel like there should be more breathing room in-between cutscene end and gameplay, it goes by WAY too fast. But other than that, i'm really looking forward to the next project these guys will be working on!!!! Also i know this is just a fan-game showcase and i know the channel is not the game developer but i'm just giving out my opinion!!!

Fans finally did it. They made a sonic fan game that is both good and looks OFFICIAL. A few tweaks here and there and added stuff like a more lively victory screen, and I could see this sell if it was a real game from SEGA. No joke, this could in theory be the base of a new Sonic Game, it really could. What an amazing job well done to the developers of this fan game ^_^

The levels look slapped together and there's parts where you just guess where to go. That music doesn't feel like Sonic music especially when placed right next to actual Sonic Soundtrack pieces and that dialog feels so alien. Honestly needs a lot of work from my perspective.

The cutscenes look really good for being CG and being in a fan game. Also, the music that played in the third level was beautiful. Edit: I realized that the music in the third level was Light of Nibel from Ori and the Blind Forest.
