Such stations are very popular here in Ukraine. Our local manufacturers are overwhelmed with consumer requests. No blackout in my region, but as I am all about electricity and my job relates heavily to it things like this can be a game changer this winter. Better to be with such stations than to live under a Russian regime.

I just picked up the Ecoflow Delta Pro because of the bigger inverter, and smart gas generator option in the event there is no sun for a few days. I can pick it up myself (~100 lbs) versus this unit's heft. Both are awesome, but I thought the Delta Pro has the edge, especially the app. I have other Bluetti products. Ecoflow seems a little better built.
@DesertHomesteader
@DesertHomesteader Жыл бұрын
Good recommendation. I'd say the Ecoflow's price per watt-hour is also better. True...the Delta Pro only has 70% of the watt-hours of the Bluetti - but for only 60% of the price. For me, the closer the price gets to an equivalent battery/charge controller/inverter setup, the more likely I am to prefer the all-in-one solution.

Thousands of dollars. Every body speaks of when the power goes out. Could this power my small off grid on the daily in a real life scenario? . I dont run very much lol a tv. Game system. Surround sound. Some lights. Charging phones lap tops and power tools. Maybe a small guitar amp 15watts. DVD player small mini fridge. I have generator for ac and propane for heat. I usually work 10 hours a day. So I barely use anything most of day anyway but I would like to leave my tv on all day while I'm at work for my dogs she likes the tv on. Can I charge from predator 3500 inverter generator without worry? For the money its gonna have to be able to make things easy and convenient for me or I will probably just build my own set up. I have alot of things to build so I would like to simplify my power delivery if possible

I pre-ordered one of these units on Indiegogo and when they became available, I was told by Bluetti that they could not ship to Canada. I arranged delivery to a US location and private freight transport to Canada, and then was told that it would take several more months to fulfill the order. So, instead they offered the AC200MAX with 2 x B300 extension packs and some solar panels, which seemed like an acceptable deal. After 2 months of light use, the barrel connector of the AC charger fused to the unit (completely unable to unplug it, trying to force it from the outside started to tear the body) and it would produce toxic fumes if I tried to charge it. The B300 units didn't always sync to the AC200MAX, almost a 50/50 chance that both would sync to the main unit at power up. I heard some warnings about the Bluetti products from battery enthusiasts but I was attracted to the design aesthetics and the promise for a large capacity and high inverter output at a good price. I hope EP500 users have better experiences that what happened to me, good luck.

When ur getting solar energy and charging at the same time, does that waste battery cycles or does it the energy go directly to thing ur charging?
@caninphx
@caninphx Жыл бұрын
If memory serves me correct you can only charge or drain a battery and not both at the same time. So the power from the solar goes into feed the electronics and the power supply kicks in the remainder. I could be wrong on this though as it’s been awhile and the tech has changed now.

Batteries are great. We have 2 Tesla Powerwalls rated at 14 kWh each. They get charged by the solar and have largely eliminate our electric bills. In some summer months we were spending close to $500 and now we are spending approximately $10 which to get a connection to the grid. We also always have power in our house. And we can sell power back to the grid. During some events we get $2/kWh such as the recent electricity shortfall event. Adding the Powerwalls to the solar install increased the costs by $12,500 full installed. I wished we would have added a 3rd Powerwall.

@JBoy340a
@JBoy340a Жыл бұрын
@@bausHuckif you are going to 10.2 kW of solar I suggest thinking about adding a second Powerwall if the budget allows. Adding a second Powerwall will extend your time you can run in a power outage, also it extends the time you don't buy power, which can reduce your bills.

Three Tesla power walls cost 25k and gives you 40kwh. Thats about $625 per kwh. This unit is closer to $1,175 per kwh. The Tesla is by far the better bang for your buck if you plan on doing a home backup unit.

@kakuretatsumi715 That is cherry picking a little. A single Tesla Powerwall is $11,500. You get way more capacity 13.5 kWh vs 5.1 kWh, and a better invertor. You give up longevity (NMC vs LiFePO4 chemistry) and portability since a Tesla Powerwall is static. The best option for home back up is an MPPT and server rack batteries. You can get a 30 kWh in batteries for 9,000 and an MPPT with an invertor for a couple thousand

The one thing that annoys me the most about all these new devices coming out is that people are calling Power Storage Devices, Generators. These devices "DO" "NOT" "GENERATE" Power. They Store power for later use, if you don't plug it into a power source or an actual "Power Generator" guess what...you won't have any power. Other than that yeah its pretty it has 5000+ WH of storage hence the weight. You could build something with just as much storage on wheels and make it look pretty with 3D printing and give it all the more features for roughly the same price if not cheaper.

In a grid down situation it’s good to keep your fridge running for a few days. But remember, The more stuff you add to it the faster it will drain and in a grid down situation, you need to be conservative. But the big thing people don’t really look into is how long it will take to fully charge the unit with just those solar panels. Trust me. Run a test to see how long it will take to fully charge your unit from 25% with those panels. You’re going to need more panels or plan B. Run a test and you will see what I’m talking about. Trust me, do your test now and have a plan B. Not when you need it the most and find out you should have ran a test Good luck

It's a comforting feeling to know you have a safeguard in case of a power failure. I recently ordered the AC 200 Max and 45 minutes later we had one of the worst thunderstorms in history, a small tornado and a total blackout here in Canada. With the amount of wildfires and other natural disasters out of control everywhere this is now a necessity of life. By the way you're going to need another one soon one is never enough. They will get lonely, just joking. One week later I ordered an extra battery and believe it or not that day we had another blackout.

Nice video guys, but I don’t get it? Powers out. Ok, I only need ONE appliance to work. My HVAC. If it’s winter, just a few amps at 240V is going to heat my whole house running on natural gas. Is this $6,000 machine going to do that? Now it’s summer. Same voltage more amps. How about it? I can heat whatever I need on my stove. For the frig, lighting, charging, I can get a small battery backup and then charge it with my $499 HD generator. The geek in me wants one of these but for what?

Never understood nor had patience with the all too-typical unpacking, "unboxing" videos. Your vid was the first. Great transition from what to expect with shipping, a brief, very clean, simple unpacking on through the features. Also, you boys probably need to ask Blue Eddy...oops, Bluetti to have you take your show "on the road"...hilarious.

Man if I were you guys I would get out of California. You’ve got a state they can’t even keep the power on that’s scary. Good job on getting the blue Eddie though I would be anxious to know if you can run your main AC on your house.

@@islandersean2213 you will need something massive to charge a Tesla. This would only charge a Tesla for 12 miles and its huge.
