Omg...i remember that side objective very well!! I managed to keep that Pukei alive after several tries. I went gunner Geralt cuz lbg can shoot healing ammo. The final cutscene was so touching & wholesome after saving the Pukei & keeping it alive in final fight 🥰! Thank you for making this video, BBake! Just saw your channel getting mentioned in iixxion's video "Monster Channels Reviewed, Pt.2" & I figured I'd drop by and say hi! Keep up the great work

Thank you! Also, I never even thought about using a bowgun for the healing ammo, that’s brilliant.

I remember wanting Pukei to be a buddy like other tail raiders like Jagras or Shamos. Afterwards I started capturing monsters (I know it doesn’t count but it makes me feel slightly better). As well as using the Pukei palico armor to take down Fatalis. Even in Rise, I have never slain a Pukei, always capturing them instead.

Even though i'm not the biggest Pukei fan I definitely agree that this quest was amazing and this Pukei is a good boy c: I hope we can have something like this in the future!

I am not a fan of Pukei myself either, but this quest certainly helped me like it a bit more.

Great Editing! Also, I laughed when you said "Capturing does not count as saving" lol

Thank you! And yea, there is no way I would classify capturing a monster as "saving" them :P

I was expecting a meme but yeah I agree it definitely was something of note you never see in the mainline games. Makes you wish the Stories games were as good looking and having story quests above just slaying

If we could have an MHStories game at the graphics level of MHWorld, that would be one of the most phenomenal MH games ever made.

@@BakeNation_MH I know right? And maybe not being turn based would be great, we already have the ability to ride in rise, I just think having monsters fight alongside you as allies against like wilder and stronger versions that will have the option of taming through eggs would be interesting, like frenzy afflicted or maybe a whole other kind of species.

I didn't even know you could do this. I failed my first leshen attempt never to try again

Believe me, I struggled big time when I first did this. I had barely used S&S when first attempting this quest, so I did horribly bad lol.

World monsters might not be very unique gameplay-wise, but they're all so expressive... That's what makes them unique to me. Gypceros may have more interesting mechanics like faking his own death tô catch you off guard, but i bet no one here really likes to fight him. He's always poisoning you, stunning you with flash attacks, hitting you from far away with his tail, and can't even be affect by shock traps. Overall, a pain in the ass, truly one of the most unpleasant hunts in the franchise. I can't figure out why they decided to bring him back in MH4 instead of Curupeco... If they wanted a flashy bird, they could've just included Crimson along with the normal version. Dude, there's DEVILJHO in the game, Curupeco would've fit like a glove... Or not? Now that I've stopped to think about it, Crimson is also an absolute pain to deal with. I remember bringing a bunch of dung bombs and even materials to craft more if i ended up running out of them, but Deviljho kept refusing to leave the area even after i threw every single one on him. I ended up killing the Curupeco after 40 minutes of hunt WITH A COUNTER BUILD. Truly not a good time... But they could've reworked him in 4U, Idk. Anyway, the point is: i don't like to fight Gypceros and prefer Pukei over him despite his super unique and super annoying mechanics, and i would prefer to have Curupeco in MH4 instead. Sorry for the bad english, not my first linguage. And yes, i know that the theme of the video is about Pukei's role in the The Witcher colab event, not about him being an unique monster in-game. And again, this is all what I think. Maybe someone actually like fighting Gypceros, and what i said here makes no sence at all. Again, i'm still studyng english. Great video btw.

I must say, I enjoyed reading your tangent. I remember when I first fought Qurupeco and it summoned a Deviljho into the room I immediately panicked and left the room and waited a couple minutes until going back to try and fight Qurupeco again. Such a memorable experience. Plus, I completely agree that Gypceros might have unique mechanics such as it’s feigning death, but it is my no means a fun fight, in my opinion as well.

@@BakeNation_MH I think it would be better if, instead of fighting along with his body guard, *Peco* focused *only* on *providing buffs for it* while *you* try to *repel it* by *fighting it.* I think it would've been much more interesting than having to run in panic after witnessing yourself throwing all your dung bombs on the big pickle and nothing happening after that. Hope they give Peco a proper rework when he next appears... I really like that bird.

Coral Pukei Pukei > Curupeco and Crimson Curupeco > Pukei Pukei > Gypceros and Purple Gypceros Gigginox and Baleful Gigginox > Khezu and Red Khezu Barioth and Sand Barioth > Blangonga and Copper Blangonga Jaggi > all This = my opinion

Uhh... i mean i like Pukei Pukei dont get me wrong but hes in no way one of the most 'unique' monsters in serries. He uses Poison, And his tongue to fight wich Chameleous has had way longer than pukei has. He eats plants in envirioment wich grant his breath special abilities. That too has allready been done with Congalala way earlier. He use his tail a lot in the fight aswell as spews poison out of it. Welp that too has allready been done by Gigginox way earlier. Hes not even the first Poison Bird Wyvern since both Gypceros and Yian Garuga exist
@BakeNation_MH2 жыл бұрын
I understand that, but the whole point was to show the unique interaction with Pukei during the Witcher event as there is nothing else like it in the series. I will admit it is somewhat of a stretch saying it is the most unique though.
