None of your videos are boring! I love getting behind the scenes of what it really takes to be a successful artist! Your studio vlogs every month are so cozy I save them until I can sit down and fully pay attention. I’m very excited to see what you learn in your workshops and I think you’ll do just fine in the crochet one…you already can work in the round and do increases! That’s some tricky stuff!

Dear Philippe, I’ve been watching you for over a year. I am a needle felter- started during the pandemic. I started selling at small craft fairs after family and friends started buying and requesting my felts. I do mostly small whimsical creatures but now have a following and have even taught classes. I watch many KZbin videos ( some which you recommended), and always look forward to yours! I so enjoy your style- feels my like I’m having a conversation with and old friend. I live in upstate New York and have a niece who lives in the UK . 🇬🇧I will be visiting her n June and been hounding her that we need to visit your area and some of the places you have shown us! I have learned so much from you and wanted to finally thank you! Best regards, Filomena

As a huge dog lover, your dogs are absolutely adorable. I have a little jackshund - half wire haired JR and half wire haired dachshund. He’d dig all day if I let him and he hides his toys, covering them up by moving the soil over them with his nose, silly boy. The baskets you’ve made are beautiful Philippa, the style and colours are gorgeous. Your videos are always a joy to watch and I appreciate all of them but especially so when they’re longer. Just got to the end of your video and I agree with you about crediting you when someone makes any of your creations for monetary gain. I have brown plain plastic bags, too. I printed out my (original) business card design, just way bigger, and glued it to them. That's even cheaper than the stickers ;) (and I'm glad I didn't spend money getting stuff printed out of house, since I don't like that original design anymore...) --- Would it be possible to felt something around the hook? Like a Gnome or something to draw attention? --- That Sea Blend is GORGEOUS! --- About crediting the creators. When I post things on the internet most times I credit the creator. Sometimes I forget. And that shouldn't happen. - When I research stuff I sometimes just save pictures and forget to write down where I found it. I need to get better with that. I would not put an "exact copy" of someone elses work on the internet to sell. That's where I draw the line. If someone else has the exact same item I think it's rude to put it on Etsy or wherever. (at craft fairs I think it's OK, since you don't know if customers would even look on the internet for the item.) Things that are inspired by someones art are different. For example I use your "sheep coat effects" video for different things and developed my own ideas from there. But none of my sheep look like yours, even though the coat effect might be the same. I always credit you and that video. At craft fairs I don't know how to credit creators other than telling people that I made this after a tutorial or a picture by soandso. No idea if other crafters would say that's enough. I just don't know where to put the information.
@feltsbyphilippa9 ай бұрын
Yes, the sea blend is great, I didn't need it but I had to have it! So, yes, I should have done something like that with the top but I have removed it now, you are about the fourth person with that good idea! I am ok with people copying my tutorials to sell and I mention it in my PDF's and on line courses, I only ask for credit. Yes, at crafts fairs it not really possible is it but it's easy on Etsy and websites. With my sheep, I don't have anything really distinctively my style but those little Highland Cow's are very obviously mine so I strive to protect them and make sure someone doesn't produce a kit or workshop with them. It's definitely the side of business that you don't really hear about, take care xx

Love your videos. I also love your podcasts, but there haven't been any new ones lately. Have you decided not to do any more? I love listening to them when I'm in the car. Also, do you use miniature scales at all? I sometimes struggle with making two legs or arms the same size and I wondered if I weighed the wool that might help? If you do, please can you let me know which ones you would recommend. Thank you!
@feltsbyphilippa9 ай бұрын
I hope to do some more podcast, it's just time but they are on my list. Yes, weighing the wool helps or just pulling out wool for all four legs at the same time and feeling that it is the same amount for each works. I did get a very small digital scale from Amazon, it was only 5 pounds and has a 2 gram increment, then you know it can measure small amounts xx
