Lynn, this is the real deal, the big deal- "Intentional positive parenting from a single parent perspective". Once you respect and appreciate your child development milestones and the aspect of respecting them, life shall be so good for everyone. A child is just an angel and dependent at their infancy all through the process of self discovery. But as much as we assume "they are just kids",at the point where your child is able to communicate some degree of meaning to whatever they are saying, allow them the latitude to express themselves. Today's child matures faster due to so much influence from within and without(technology and social media). Let us allow them to be. When looking at Kate Kendi, her awesome mother, Judy Njogu here, makes life feel so good guys. As a mother try to borrow a leaf from Judy Njogu while as a child respect and look upto your mother both as a friend and a mother at the same time as Kate has done it. By the way, single motherhood is not a crime, nor is it unique. Just like life takes us rough and smooth rides, so is single parenthood. It is a normal thing. Love yourself at the point where life finds you. Our children always have something good to do for themselves just as they can also impact you, the parent, positively. This show demystifies that factor. A child should be your friend for them to feel safe to share anything and everything. That way, mental health issues shall be minimised. Big up Kate and Judy for the inspiration and teaching society that it is possible to be single and succeed in good parenting.

I was pregnant when I was 17 years old. The whole village turned their back on. The church disowned me including some of my family. I felt like killing myself. My God was there with me. I had my baby alone without nothing. God opened the way for me and my son to go abroad when my son was 4month old. Today my son is 21years old.

Finally, we are having this conversation in Africa. I've been waiting for this kind of conversation. Having children is a choice, not a must. Bringing a child into the world is not a walk in the park. It's a lifetime commitment and requires a lot of sacrifices. For some women it's worth it. As for me, I think it's not. I love the idea of being able to wake up and worry about myself and my partner only. I get to do what I want, whenever I want. I can be spontaneous and have unplanned trips and enjoy my money in peace with my partner. And I'm sure you're asking, but who will take care of me when I'm old?? My money and my partner will take care of me. I'm sorted. I'm good. There's a plan in place. Look, there's no need for all that unnecessary stress of raising children. Enjoy your life.

@@daphineimani the rejection is real. The dating pool is significantly small for childfree people...especially childfree women. Because most men want kids. As a millennial, I find these conversations so refreshing. A lot of us are having children much later, fewer or not at all. It's all about intentionality. Let's not kid ourselves raising a child is expensive and requires support. Having a child nowadays is a responsibility not an entitlement. And it's wrong to say that we should have children so that they can take care of us when old. That's irresponsible my child's only responsibility to live their best life with or without me.

Wow, you three women look absolutely stunning in your chosen outfits. Crab for yourselves. Lynn, this is the real deal, the big deal- "Intentional positive parenting". Once you respect and appreciate your kids phase developments, and the aspect of respecting them, life shall be so good for everyone. When looking at Cathy Kendi, her awesome mother and brother here makes life feel so good guys. As a mother try to borrow a leaf from Judy Njogu while as a child respect and look upto your mother both as a friend and a mother at the same time. By the way, single motherhood is not a crime, nor is it unique. Just like life takes us rough and smooth rides so is single parenthood. It happens as a normal thing. Love yourself at the point where life finds you. Our children always have something good to do for themselves just as they can also impact you, the parent positively. A child should be your friend for them to feel safe to share anything and everything. That way, mental health issues shall be minimised. Are you a child of a single mother? Well, love yourself and your mother more. As you love and appreciate your great Mom, it is equally important to realise that circumstances forced her to be in that status then but now, learn to avoid any situation that can place you in the same status. It is not an easy ride. Take care of yourself well and support your mother to the core. A mother is a beacon of hope to any child, a protector and selfless being that can do anything and everything to see her children through regardless of situations she could endure. Upto this stage, please allow me to salute all single mothers in the house and know that as some of us men let you down , God shall never leave you. I as a person affirm all mothers in the world starting from Lynn Ngugi here.

Am trying to understand the impact of single motherhood to Cate how it is with her being that if she would want to get married someday, will she be a great wife since she never had that example of learning from her mother maybe from a longer period of time or what role will the husband play in her life

From the perspective of a follower of Elohim, this conversation was truly painful. When we put Elohim on the side, our conversation will always drive back to self. I see that the generation of now has really been deceived. At the same time, evil has increased in the same latter generations. I pray we find Christ so much that we will not support some things or watch what comes out of our lips.
