Big fan of the Wes Craven era of Scream films and I really enjoy Scream 5. Scream 6 was an incredible disappointment since they're just copied Scream 2 with the killer being the parent of the boyfriend from the last film but making it a family instead just felt lazy and they relied on set pieces, easter eggs, and claimed to be different by trying new ideas but not fully committing to them instead of actual good writing or a story to tell. Also don't get me started on the ridiculous plot armor with making the main character immortal and only dayplayers die. I have a lot of hope for Scream 7 since the creator, Kevin Williamson is directing and even though he's not the screenwriter he's not going to direct a mediocre script. Kevin's going to revamp or tweak it before production starts which Neve Campbell recently confirmed is this September and she said the movie's going to be great. Any Scream film with Kevin Williamson's involvement are definitely the best Scream films (1, 2, and 4)

This is all a mess tbh. Scream 7 already has bad publicity due to Melissa firing for political reasons, which has made the franchise step into dangerous territory as some people are truly offended by that. Also Kevin Williamson is directing and he only has ONE past director credit which was met with terrible reviews. It’s confusing on how they’re going tell a story with Sidney after they spent two past movies on Sam. It’s all ridiculous and they need wrap this franchise up immediately after 7
