Just a tip, when I go rock hounding I do like to bring a long a tooth brush, a water spray bottle and drinking water bottle and a zip lock bag. I can use the a bit of the water in a ziplock to clean some rocks off to see their colors and such as well as the spray bottle. It helps a lot oh and I have a cloth carry bag i use as well a rather large one that goes over the shoulder. Just thought it might help you as well on mudlarks and maybe a scraper as well would help. to flip over objects that are muddy.

Mudmas is fun. Don't like watching the step-by-step on seaweed as small crabs and other wildlife use it for hiding til the tide comes in. Shame that. Oh well, I still watched.

Hindu offering rules. Once ritual performed, and water takes them. Ritual is over as blessing is now complete. All hindu offerings found later be broken or parts of the offerings are found, such as these bowls, which by the way are not the normal bowls used in Hinduism. As they usually use copper as it is a pure metal, which is to carry gangi or 7 bowls w food, candle, flowers or water for protection od dharma, ect. Once the bowls are empty, the ritual is over, example washed up on shore, or sunk to bottom, they can be removed. In india, thete is so many offerings in rivers, the indian govt has to used cranes to scoop them out and dump them in dump trucks, or ships where they dump w india trash farther out to sea. So please, pick them up. They are considered trash. I do not understand why christian nations are so afraid of offending hindus, by removing used bowls or other modeled dieties discarded in your waters. Hindus themselves think your silly for your over sensitivity.

Thank you for the information on this. I would have not wanted to remove it or interfere in case I caused offence. I think this comes from a lack of knowledge about it combined with wanting to be respectful and not knowing the best way to go about it. How would it be viewed if the bowls were re-used for something else rather than discarded? Would the use bother the original owner?
