Wow! This week we had an amazing trip to the foreshore in the rain! So many finds, some rare some unexplainable but stunning! Best day we have had for a long time down on the muddy shore! Come with us and see the wonders of a great mudlarking day!
We have a patreon page for anyone wishing to support us.
We also have a Ko-fi account, so if you wanted to support us by buying us a metaphorical cup of coffee it would be greatly appreciated xx

Kate and Fleur, thank you so very much for including all of us on this trip! You two are the best muckraking channel and the only one that I'm a Patron of. Your videos are the most fun, the most relaxing, the most creative and the most informative. I just adore both of your channels and wanted to express my deep gratitude to the two of you for everything you do! Thank you so, so much!

It's different in the US as Robin's here come back in the Spring. When you see the first Robin in late March or April, you always feel delighted and usually tell someone of your discovery because it brings hope for the end of snow, (dirty by then 😢) and warmer, sunny weather ❤! It was nice to hear of your history/ tradition in England 🇬🇧. Thank you for sharing 😀!

I know I get excited almost as much as you!! I’m in love with the tiny bottles!! But then I pretty much love everything!! Good job girls!!! You should go more often after a good hard rain!! Random idea I just had: You could take a squirt bottle of some kind (particularly to the muddy places like this) and just kinda squirt down the area you want to look at to remove the gunk and reveal more colors and you could just refill with water from the sea!

Hello from Central Florida 👋 I had taught all my now adult children Don't feel bad if the groundhog spells more winter in February, when the robins are in mass on your front lawn, it's as good as spring is here. A story I heard of, is the robin got it's red breast from sitting on the shoulder of Christ and blood dropped upon it from the crown of thorns. ❣️ Giving spring and Easter a connection.

I have seen walking sticks for children, or for fun that were toys that could be won at games in fairs. They were slinder little sticks painted bright colors that had cheap heads of bull dogs, clowns and such. Could your grey hound be one of those heads?

Love the little bottles! The sherd story was great. When I have heard this rhyme, it always brought to mind fallen soldiers, then all the people who help lay them to rest. So many of early fables, fairy tales, and rhymes were grim and sad, as that was their every day existence, unfortunately. Thank you for sharing the tiny, beautiful, and thought-provoking items from the past!! Love your channel!!🥰🥰🥰

I LOVE the Robins, they are so tiny and beutiful. I have had a couple in my garden for some years now and I hang up an tea-kettle this summer on the side of my gate, and guess, they did build a nest in there and had kids. It was so so so fun, I loved it. I have one more tea-kettle (they are in ceramic) in the garden too, in a tree, but they are so few so no one have nested there, yet. Thank`s for the tour in that awful weather, looked cold🥶

That tiny little bottle with the small hole reminds me of the insulin bottles we had for my granny. They were tiny and had a rubber seal on the top held by a rim of metal... the syringe needle went through the rubber stopper to access the insulin. When I was a child possibly about 6 yrs old . I was taught how to sterilise the glass syringe and the needles ( they were so thick) in case granny was ill when my parents were at work.... gosh that takes me back....

I have seen a pen cap quite similar to your greyhound head, but it was a really fine porcelain attached to a silver or pewter pen. I wonder if yours is its precursor! Or maybe a more budget-friendly version, if it's clay? I'm not sure. It's beautiful, anyways! I really thought your golden winder bit was the needle for a victrola/gramophone but I don't see how the angles would line up, so I must be wrong. Oh, also, I just noticed the end is arrow-shaped, so I am definitely wrong! A provisional Mudmas is still a very welcome Mudmas! I'm sure we all appreciate anything you post. Also, quite excited for new miniature videos, as ever. What a terrifying Christmas card and nursery rhyme.
