I am so excited to find this, I am teaching my 7 year old granddaughter how to sew, this is going to be her first project. I'll pick up the items tonight and we will start tomorrow. I am so like you, thus enjoy your editing and procrastination, pondering the project, bloopers happen as I hurriedly move forward - sometime for me my one step forward results in two steps back. tomorrow I will also watch this again with my granddaughter GREAT TEACHING VIDEO! You are so Grand!

love this! A suggestion - it won't be worth it now but if you ever need to replace the lights cos they stop working, have a look around because you can get (at least in the UK!) LED lights that connect to a USB stick - which you can plug into a battery, like a phone charger type battery? - and they ALSO come with a remote control. Less lifting of the cap and less battery use (so better for the planet). We have a ton of these around the house in different vases and jars and things, and obviously, we also use them at Christmas :) but anyway, have a look. :)

I've been watching you a little less than a year now, and I got recommended this older video of yours. It was fun, of course! But it reminded me of when I started watching the channel and how much your channel has grown/developed (even in things like consistent volume and some editing) in the last year. I enjoyed this past video, of course. But I also thought it might be encouraging to hear that I love how your channel has developed and remained both consistent and eclectic both.

You could add macrame to a character outfit ... such as a peice that attaches to a belt to hold a Masson jar of fairy lights or something 😅 I haven't been using pins I use clips and I have them in a fabric bag with a string so you can open it to pull some out and close it so the cat doesn't steal them 😅

Since you obviously don't have enough ideas of your own... My Dad was into candles and made some mushroom ones by inserting a used candle stump (like from a taper) into a glass and pouring a shallow amount of red wax (colored by adding some really red lipstick) into the bottom of the glass. He made the stem in a small frozen orange juice container which he had opened top and bottom to fit it over the end of the taper. He then filled the base with white wax up to the bottom of the taper. Voila! A mushroom candle. Have fun, as you always do?

I have never worked with felt before, were there any pros/cons to embroidering with it instead of your usual fabric choice?
@gettheetothestitchery2 жыл бұрын
The big pro is basically just that you don't have to finish the edges, so when making appliques or a 3D structure like this, you don't have to worry about any shedding or turning under every little edge and stitching it down thoroughly.
