A MUST HAVE For The Jeep 4.0 Exhaust Manifold!

I wish I knew what these fasteners were. When I bought a replacement motor for my XJ, it had these fasteners on there as well. I wasn't to sure about it so I took them off 🤦‍♂️. Know I wish I kept them on there.

Any time I have a stud break off like that, I always weld a nut on first. I never have good luck with extractors. They always break off and then you are screwed

I was going to attempt that if the stud wasn’t so far recessed in the block but I should of tried anyways. I knew the second that extractor broke I was in trouble 😅

@@2AOverland I know it seems sketchy but I’ve build up the middle with multiple spot welds and sometimes it works out. I hate when I break an extractor off.

Same problem for the dodge 4.7l except the dodge 4.7l will break all the bolts offer back them out. I learned that the hard way....

No problem thank you so much for watching! My guess is the stud broke from me torquing it too tight on the original install or maybe some bolts loosened and the manifold put stress on that stud and broke it 😬
