Colt Im excited for You and a little bit envious. Im full time retired and I just dont intend to do enough to justify buying one. Now if We were neighbors Id have to drop by from time to time to help out, and maybe borrow a few minutes on the machine. If You can do any kind of CAD Drawing, there should be a setting in the software to convert everything to Metric. Draw it in inches convert it to mm then load it to the stick and the Machine. You are smart You'll do fine its all just numbers. I ran CNC Machines for 40+ years and learned all the programing set ups and operation straight from the Owners manuals. We have exchanged Messages during the S10 Build on Facebook. So Good luck and best wishes to You and Shanna. And by the way She is seriously Cute~~ LOL

I’ve had the 2x2 version of this for about a month now. You can change your settings to inches instead of metric in the settings. For anyone else thinking of buying one of these, they are pretty finicky to assemble. Lots of parts that look similar but have subtle differences that will bite you in the end if it’s not in the correct location. Great content, love your channel.

Metric brought you to the Moon: The Apollo Guidance Computer did use metric/SI units internally for its calculations. But it converted to imperial/USC units when it displayed data on the DSKY. This is probably because the Apollo astronauts (mostly trained as test pilots) had an intuitive "feel" for imperial/USC units 😃

And another thought on the cables is to put an arm from the table up and over it in the center and then suspend the cables from a spring so that they move with little friction and are not rubbing on the edge. Nice table, KZbin has been nice to you and I’m envious that you really are putting together a great fabrication shop. Nex you’ll be building the World Biggest Off Road Wrecker. 😁

Oh Yeah Also Get Yourself about a 1 to 1 1/2 by 2 ft piece of the industrail grating The stuff that 1 by 1/8 flatbar all standing on edge spaced out about 1 inch apart and inset that into To Plazma table, so that You can cut and capture small parts. Then You can cut tabs and 0ther parts from drops that would otherwise just be scrap
