So fare my favorite motor engine combination is 4.3 vortec v6 with NV3500. I sold my 1998 s10 longbed, after my pup passed. It was actually Doby's (best dog ever) he just let me drive it. It was a two wheel drive. I'm lookin for a 4x4 4.3 vortec with NV3500 transmission and transfer case to swap into my 1995 YJ. never letting my first Jeep go. Yes with a longbed one wheel drive truck snow and a slight hill equals no go. The oil filter moves under the engine with the fuel injection 4.3 vortec. I am a manual transmission purist, have a 1995 YJ, 2.5 Iron Duke with Ax5, a 2014 Rubicon 2 door manual transmission, and a 1982 k10 with 350 and a 5 speed Tremec transmission.

Rory is one of the Goats. Even on 24H hell and back he was on unfamiliar ground and still came out with double the points of 2nd place. Dude can get more done with unnecessary front digs on a coil spring suspension than a $100k rig on 42’s. It’s funny how a lot of YT crawler will claim you can’t turn 40’s on any factory engine offered in jeeps. Yet here we are

Looks like your dad was pretty awesome dude. I just picked up a 74 K10 on 37s and I am looking forward to getting out there with my kid this year. I taught her how to drive when she was 11 in my 1959 CJ five Jeep. I really enjoy watching your video on this. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Colt & Shanna, your story, along with the editing, is great. Your dad sure played hard , he looked like he was a real good guy to hang out with for sure. Stay safe , we'll be looking for the next video 😊.

Thanks for sharing a more personal part of your lives. I think the hardest part of reliving those memories is when you look back and realize that was the last time we did something. My Dad has been gone for 24 years now and some things are like yesterday. That's what happens when God blessed you with a really great one. I hope to be the same.

That's amazing that you got to see the mountain goats up so close. Very cool! Your Dad lived the good life! Four wheeling, ice racing and great family events that made such fond memories for your family. A rich legacy passed down and now shared with us in this series! Thank you so much for taking us along!

Our sincerest Condolences to you and your family and friends. These stories bring back memories of my Dad and my Grandpa, Grandma. and my Uncle especially who took me/us out hunting, fishing, camping and on trips, both on and off highway. My Uncle bought a (59ish Jeep pickup Needle nose) and he took us all over including a trip with his travel trailer to Arizona. Thanks, keep up the good videos, I also enjoy your shop videos because you spend time explaining things more in depth than some others.

Mom passed this year, we spent alot of time talking & watching westerns... knowing the different actors more indepth gave things a whole new meaning, alot of tough people have come before me! Mom was born in a tent up in McCall Idaho, her parents we're fighting fires, grampa had a crew of 26, Grandma cooked & fed everyone with my uncle under her feet & Mom on the way. People definitely worked hard back then, can't imagine crossing this pass with wagons! Horses yes but a long hard trip even with trails. Thank You both!

Hills look so colorful just like I remember in Colorado. Alot of wet saddle blankets on horse & mules., we use to stack rock in a U shape to shield the fire, they were flat around Leadville as I recall. Very beautiful country for sure! Love the drone footage at or below the tree line, use to enjoy moving cattle down in the fall. Noticed you did front shackles on your front springs.... why did you choose that configuration?

Funny story when I was young guy 15 years old I decided I was done with school . At the time my dad and I did not see eye to eye on much well long story short I worked on a survey crew until old enough to join the navy . So over my life I never was out of work and never had to call my mom or dad to bail me out of anything then one day while at work as a machinest my dad called to tell me he was remarrying and would I be his best man at his upcoming wedding which I gladly said yes to . Unfortunately he passed from a heart attack before the big day enjoy your memorys while your making new ones . Merry Xmas
